The Ds Lite isn't fragile, You just need to be more careful with it. Maybe buy a cutecase for it to be in. I would. Ha~ but thats me.I have to say though the PSP has it going,I love the way it shows movies. But I love my Ds lite.(Harvest Moon Rules)

I don't think manufacturers expect the DS and PSP to be tested on durability such as the consoles falling. They are not cars where manufacturers have crash tests.

how is it too fragile? mine works just as good as it did the day i bought it. no damage or nothing like that for two years. and i handle my stuff pretty roughly.well, the touch screen's a little screwy from playing with it, but it's nothing a recalibration every few hours won't fix.

i think the touch screen and the folding joint on the top screen are the most fraile parts on the ds. several times i thought i broke the top screen when i pushed it too hard.

i just bought a case for it so its virtually impossible to break but i see what you mean like if i did drop it, it would break pretty bad whereas psp built pretty solid

Well i personally think that the DS is too fragile . I dropped it 2 times and it broke .But the PSP is really solid , 9 times and it just has a scratch .

i dont think so because i keep my ds carefully :D

I think the DS lite is very durable. I drop mine all the time (one or twice while open) and have never had any ill effects.

You sure you didn't drop it on a soft ground of some sort?

i can't say for sure, because i only got mine a few months ago, but my DS touch screen is getting a little rusty.i dunno, maybe it's because i'm too rough on it...

its all just about how much you use itif you like to open and close ur DS alot then the hinges will breakit you keep using the shoulder buttons they will break as well so it just all depends on how much you will use ur DS PSP or whatever

I have a ds lite and i dropped it like 6 times and it is still in perfect condition. I think it depends on where you buy it and how often you open it way to fast cause I think that damages it a bit quicker. My brother on the other hand dropped his ds like twice and the hinges are brocken...but it still works fine besides the fact that it is flimsy now :lazy:

well I think you are right, the DS is just simply too fragile, some thing has to be done about the design and material being used.

Well i'd of thought the touch screen would break while i'm stabbing it but it just looks more fragile than it is =PMy friend sat on his and the screens separated at the joint but it still works with abit of tape. :lazy:

I've had my DS Lite for a bit longer than 2 years now... It doesn't even have a scratch! Well ofcourse there are the tiny little scratches on top of it, but everything has scratches like that (+ the scratches can only be seen when the light shines on it in the right way). It doesn't have anything more serious than that. I think that the people who think it's too fragile just aren't being careful at all.I think I might have dropped it once, but I'm not sure.
