I think mortal combat games are bether.There are released on almost any console and very popular.Not mentioning how much is the game goooood

Mortal Combat does not even come close to Soul Calibur. For deepness alone soul calibur wipes the floor.

Soul Calibur is better. It's like mortal combat... but with weapons. The only way it could get better is if there was delicious cake also.

Mortal Kombat's original influence is very important, though. I wouldn't say it's been quite as influential as Street Fighter II, but it's definitely helped to propagate it.

I would say mortal combat is better, AS the years passed, mortal kombat has goteen better with there story modes. It's not all about fighting anymore. AS for Street fighter, that's my game.Mortal Kombat's original influence is very important, though. mortal kombat games are just blood and gore while in soul calibur games there's alot more things to doI prefer Mortal Kombat but to be honest ive played more mortal kombat games then soul calibur games

I really enjoyed Soul Calibur 2. The variety of characters, flow of movement and graphics all made for an enjoyable game. I always find the movement slightly more stilted in MK, but perhaps I have not spent enough time playing one to get the ins and outs of it.

soul calibur would be better if not for the excessive fan service, but mortal kombat lacks something important, dont know what that is tho

For me, the soul calibur series is better. I mean, mortal kombat is fun and all but almost all the games feel exactly the same. Sure they tried to change it by giving everyone weapons and then multiple fighting styles but in the long run it's the same game recycled. SubZero's freeze is always the same exact combo. But that's not even the reason I like Soul Calibur more. Soul Calibur integrates characters from other series and that I think truly makes it great. They've got their original staple characters like Kilik and Nightmare. But then they've also added other characters to each game individually like Link, Spawn, Heyatchi and Yoshimitsu from Tekken, and now Darth Vader and Yoda.

I like em both.. Mortal Kombat in the past playing it with my cousin's and relatives brings back memories.. but the recent ones arent good..

Mortal Kombat is more fun to play. Most of the current MK games have a higher replay value than the Soul Caliber games. PLUS, Mortal Kombat pwns with the "FATALITY" system.

HAHA! MK has cake (Check Kitana's Friendship from MK2).Soul Calibur is better. It's like mortal combat... but with weapons. The only way it could get better is if there was delicious cake also.

I definetly prefer Soul Calibur over Mortal Kombat. My favorite would be Soul Calibur 3 Mainly because of the character creation and chronicles of the sword thingy (I think that's the one with the Grandall War thing). I pwn with the katana & shuriken. Mortal Kombat is way to violent.
