Tell me what you think is the worst sequel you've ever played! I know, there's a lot of sucky sequels out there, so let's list em! Name any and all horrible sequel games you can think of!I think the worst one is Donkey Kong 64, I hated that game! Also, I hated Aero the Acro-Bat 2, the game wasn't as good!

not to be rude but i think that donkey kong 64 was a good sequel. GTA 3 was a bad sequel even thoug the games after that were good.

Yeah, it did, mostly for the console games. It was basically the same thing over and over again. But as for DK64, I wonder why so many people hate on that game so much. It was an awesome game for its time, and still is in my top favorites.

Actraiser 2 (completely removing the godlike figure ruined it for me)LoZ Majora's Mask (when i play through a LoZ title I have to have every tiny miniquest/heart container/etc. and the setup for MM made that impossible w/o cheating)The Pokemon Sequels as well (they did a horrible job with the new pokemon although I do like the remakes of the original w/ the better graphics and color)

Hmm... Sequels I've bought that sucked..Mario Party 8.Have bought 1, 2, 4 and 8.They got worse and worse.1 rocked. 2 was cool.4 was OK, and 8... Damn. Too small amount of minigames. They've made hundreds of games if you put all the games together. All they had to do was remake the old ones compatible with the Wiimote.Honestly, the game is packed with developer lazyness. (Many characters in the menu exist out of two images. They wobble -poorly animated- left and right.)Blergh.*ponders*Other sequels...Super Mario Sunshine.A 64 remake, in different surroundings thus new shinies to get, Aha, and new shinies. From stars to shines. ...And of course, what gave the game a little originality. The water tank on his back. But that got old all too quickly. It's not a bad game, 'twas just disappointing.

The worst sequel I've ever played would be Summon Night Swordcraft Story 2.It's the first game with a thin veil of better graphics and a slightly different storyline. That's not saying its a bad game.

First off, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess has to be the single worst sequel I've ever played. It was boring, way way WAAAAAY too easy, mostly the dungeons were just puzzles. The one thing I did like was the story. It was darker, and it worked well. Midna actually got character development, which is a step in the right direction for the series, but it's overshadowed by the three steps backwards it took gameplay wise. I don't see why every bashes Majora's Mask. It wasn't exactly like Ocarina of Time, and had a time limit, but if you used the Song of Slow time, it didn't become that big of a deal, and as long as you used the bank and cut up grass, which takes all of ten seconds to do for tons of supplies, you have nothing to worry about.Tony Hawk's Underground 2 turned the series from an innovative skating game with a decent storyline which had good potential for a sequel into a Jackass ripoff. The gimmick for this game, the bullet time crap that uses up your special was really bad compared to others, like walking in THUG, and Spine transfers in (I think) Pro Skater 4. The series has pretty much gone downhill from here on, but that's why I play skate, and not Tony Hawk anymore.Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion took what made Morrowind awesome, and kind of drilled into the ground and pissed on the grave. The main quest was terrible, they removed useful items, like spears, crossbows, and the ABILITY TO HIS STUFF WITH YOUR STAFF WHEN IT'S OUT OF CHARGES, the voice acting was so bad, it made Starship Troopers (the movie) look good, reusing not just voice actors (I swear, there must have been five actors on hand, one of which was Patrick Stewart), but also lines to DEATH. Also, the strength of the guards pisses me off even more with the scaled leveling. So, you're going to sit there and do nothing while I have to face all of the level 2 and 3 monsters for this quest? That's BS, man. The only thing they did do right was fixing Hand to Hand combat, making it actually useful. The Sims had it's fair share of expansion packs that were not needed. Vacation was useless, along with Pets and Making Magic. I bought all three of these just for the items. Pets also had this problem once again in Sims 2, however, this time, they traded a huge neighborhood for Werewolves. And you wanna know the God honest truth? That's a fair trade off in my mind.Pretty much every Roster Update for the Madden series. And Metal Gear Solid 4 looks very bad compared to what the others were like. I'm going to buy it if they port it to Xbox 360, but I'll probably stick with 1, 2 and 3, thank you.And that's my daily rant for the day, but I probably forgot a sequel somewhere, so I'll come back to this eventually.

FINALLY! Someone else who sees this game my way. Twilight Princess was HORRIBLY disappointing. It was FAR too easy, they practically throw many at you at any point, not to mention that many of the areas and plotlines were stolen directly from OoT. Sadly, I see many games going into this "made for kids" route. It's disappointing.

LoZ Majora's Mask (when i play through a LoZ title I have to have every tiny miniquest/heart container/etc. and the setup for MM made that impossible w/o cheating)

I don't see what this means. It's possible to get everything. MM was quite good and creative too. Also, I have to second FF2. I can see why they originally didn't release this in the US. What a horrible idea. I pride myself on having played basically every Final Fantasy game created, but I just could NOT get through this game with that horrible leveling system. My copy of FFOrigins still collects dust.Suikoden IV was pretty bad. That game just drove me nuts on many different levels.Metal Gear Solid 2 was pretty bad. It was filled with endless codec convos and movies (skip it all and the game is about two hours long), the plot was ridiculous and unbelievable, and the whole "Liquid's hand taking over Ocelot's body" plotline is easily one of the stupidest I've ever seen. Thankfully, Kojima redeemed himself with MGS3. And I didn't even mind Raiden that much.Stevo

Super Mario Bros. 2. American version. blech, awful game. Thankfully Super Mario 3 came after.I'd have to say that Spyro:Enter the Dragonfly, and all other ones after Year of the Dragon were pure garbage.

I never really understood the big hate for Mario 2. Yes, it was just a clone of another game but it seemed like people roundly hated it because it was different and strayed from the "bounce-an-enemy-on-the-head" formula. It was fun, challenging and gave us something different. Considering how games change so much these days, it's funny how many folks disliked Mario 2 back then. Zelda 2 is the same way. Yes, not as good as the other Zelda games, but still a fun game (not to mention it being the last Zelda game with any real difficulty).Stevo
