I'd have to go for the more recent pokémon games. They're still enjoyable, but the enormous amount of utterly ridiculous new pokémon ruins them for me.

Devil May Cry 2. So hard to keep the style. Devil May Cry 3 was, hands down, the best of the series. In my opinion.

Final Fantasy X-2: Even though the battle system as a whole was improved, i felt the overall character development and story was rushed and not exciting at all. Darkengard 2: Oh my lord, compared to the dark and gruesome prequel of this, this one was full of cake and sunshine. How the sequel moved away from everything that was interesting in the first was a total turn off. From the beginning, the 2 main characters left large hints as to what would happen and really left no one anticipating for more even after the first generic battle. Could have used a lot more work story and character wise.Lunar: Dragon Song: WTF, SERIOUSLY SHOULD I COUNT THIS? Horrible story, the worst battle system you'll ever play and characters that really had no originality for it's time when it was made! Even the MUSIC was unbearable. Waste of money and definitely time.

Wow! You're just about the only person that I've ever heard say that. I know a bunch of people that liked it. I didn't at all. I hated that game, it was such a let-down.

Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion. It ruined nearly everything its predecessor had built up. The first game was a dark, gritty tale that at times would relentlessly beat your skull in. It had themes that touched on spiritualism, racism, etc.Almost all of that good stuff was removed in Oblivion. Hardly any racism exists in Oblivion. That would be okay if it was still there somewhat but they basically just went "lol, it never existed" and that was it. I'm not saying enjoy seeing people get treated like **** for their skin color or something but it made the game seem more real and it was, at times, heartbreaking. The game also had more weapon types like spears. Oblivion was essentially a watered down title. The sense of exploration and danger was practically gone because of scaling enemies. No longer could you wander into a cave and get 1 shot by something. No longer was there worry about getting turned away from a shop or something because of the race of character you picked. Almost every town you came across was copy/paste of the same towers and weird silver stones. almost every cave used the same rocks and vines and overhead beams. There are no longer cities like Vivec in Oblivion. All Oblivion really did was improve weapon hit detection and the graphics. It removed everything worthwhile.

Worst Sequel I've ever played was Devil May Cry 2. What in the "hell" happened Crapcom? Was the bawwing of the people who bought the uber-hardcore DMC1 too much to handle? At least we got DMC 3 as an apology. :haha:

hmm... well i didn't really hate it, but i was severely disappointed by final fantasy ii (the real one in the series, not the ff2 that's actually ff4). i love final fantasy so i can't hate an ff game, but ff2 was prob the weakest outta the series. i was disappointed by the leveling up system (which also happens to curse ff10)

I was immensely disapointed in Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2. I had beaten the first one on my Dreamcast and absolutely loved it. Couldn't wait to finish 2 since 1 ended in a "to be continued..." Wanted to see the rest of the story, but they epicly messed up the combat system and the platforming felt funny. Plus, plot spoiler
So bad. What a waste of potential.
