Personally I like just the Wiimote. It's weird with the nunchuck for me. After that is the Gamecube controller, it's perfect because I played Smash Brothers Melee so much and therefore am used to it. The classic remote is okay, and Wiimote plus Nunchuck is too awkward.

i chose wii remote and nunchuk, cause i like using it, and i always thought the gc controller was a bit much, what with 4 ways to jump and the chunky shape, i also don't like the wiimote on the side cause it wasn't as hard to use. i dont know what the classic controller is though.

I like using the Gamecube controller due to familiarity and efficiency. The buttons are more accessible for combos, the controls carry over from Melee, and the new C-stick scheme allows for much more precise smashing and directional air attacks.

I definitely use the GameCube controller more often than any other for Brawl. I've played Melee since it came out, and at this point, any other controller feels awkward. The only controller I can still use for a Smash Bros. Game besides the Cube controller is the N64 controller for Smash 64, and it's worn out from years of use... and can't be used with any Smash Bros. but that one.

I personally use the nunchuck w/ the wii remote only.I believe that the GC Controller is the best because you have more techs at your disposal, but I prefer the "feel" of the Nunchuck better

I use the Wii Remote by itself. The nunchuk makes it difficult to play. I don't use the Gamecube controller much as I rarely played Melee.

I use the gamecube controller; I'm used to it from playing melee and it's alot more comfortable than the wiimote sideways. The wii remote + nunchuck feels weird :D

I personally use the wiimote and nunchuk, but the gamecube controller is truly better. Wiimote and nunchuk works well if you configure the controls correctly, but eventually you run into the problem of not having enough buttons. I personally change the d-pad to smash attacks (I'm despise shake smash, so unresponsive for me) and change the 1 button to grab (a+b isn't consistent enough). Getting rid of my up taunt was hard but it was either that or the c-button (which is used for gliding). If the wiimote and nunchuk had more buttons I would definately choose that over the gamecube controllersAnd shorthopping is possible on the wiimote and nunchuk, I can do it pretty consistently myself

I have to agree, the true Meelers like me grew up with the Gamecube controller most of our lives, I use it on Brawl and all other GC controller compatible games.
