I started with the GC controller. But I was able to warm up to the Wiimote/Nunchuck easily. They are my favorites now.

Most people opt for the Gamecube controller just because it's the most familar to them. However, my brother tends to use the wii remote/nunchuk combo a lot just because he says it's "something new". When i have 4 people over at my house, I don't have enough working Gamecube controllers and nunchuks, so one person is left with the wii remote. That has to be the worst method of playing, becuase it doesn't feel right moving with a d pad.

I was always comfortable with the Nintendo Gamecube controller, since Melee required it.

For players who want to be stronger, GC Controler is the best. There is some tricks that you can only do with GC Controler.

gamecube controllers all the way. for those who were around during the melee era, it offers almost no learning curve whatsoever so you can just jump right into the game instead of dealing with learning buttons. and having the C-stick > shaking controller

I prefer Remote + Nunchuck. It's not much of difference between this and GC-controller. That way I'm able to play with my arms folded which is pretty cool. And if I meet a strong opponent I can unfold my arms and play seriously. Ok I think I WOULd play with the GC controller but somehow mine all don't work. they're are broken since I lend them once

I actually like playing it with the Wii Remote without the Nunchuck its more Fun and it seems like the Gamecube controller advanced.

SSBB was definately meant to be played with gamecube controller. I think the wii mote is good for other games, but too gimicky and fiddly for smash.

I will only use a GC controller, especially for online use. I used to only use the nunchuk + controller combination, but I realized how inaccurate it is for online use.

Though the wiimote's ability to trigger smash hits with a shake is both amusing and intriguing, I'm used to the GCN controller from playing Melee until my eyes bled.

yea i think the gamecube is most comfortable. i can manage with the wiimote and nunchuck but the wiimote only has to be the worst way to play IMO
