I'm Brazilian, so I love when there is an option to switch to the Portuguese language. I know some Japanese too, sometimes I feel adventurous and play some Japanese games.

Sometimes, but only when the gameplay is not directly dependant on the language. I couldn't play a Final Fantasy game in Japanese for example, because there's far too much story in a language I don't understand. However, in games which I am familar with and/or language is not a major factor, I've no problem playing in something other than English.

If the game isn't overly dependant on me being able to read barrels of text, I'll play games in any language.

I'm Chinese, so I'll be happy if there got a chinese version. But since there don't have, English version is my only option.

I always check a game to see if it has a German option, because I took some german classes when I was in high school, and trying to translate it myself always creates some amusing alterations to the plot. "Whoah, the main character is actually an airport?" German doesn't seem too common though, so I usually stick with english.
