Both Chrono Trigger and Chrono Chross were the best single gaming experiences I've ever had. Complex and compelling story lines, a very fun combat system, multiple endings, etc. Each character had a back story and a REAL unique reason for partaking in the adventure. I remember beating each of these games multiple times and loving each run through just as much as the last. These games completely out shined every game I'd played previous to them, and to this day there are few who even match the standard set by Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross. If you have played these games, if you haven't and have the time you should make it a priority, and know of a game that can outdo these ones please let me know. =D

I loved those games when i Played them when i first played chrono cross I thought it's event were completely separated from chrono trigger until i got far in it but I definetly think it deserves to be considered one of the best games ever too bad SE didnt add any character from these games to kingdom hearts though. Magus was my favourite.

Chrono Trigger still continues to be my favorite game ever. It's the only one I can keep playing over and over again. The Frog and Magus storylines always kept me interested, trying to find all the different endings (before I had online access to tell me 'how' to get them). I bought Chrono Cross about a year ago. I wasn't interested in buying it because it didn't pick up the storyline with the characters from the first game. However, the PlayStation gave up on me and won't read the discs anymore. Not too interested in buying a PS3, so I haven't finished the game. But from my brief introduction to it, I felt there were too many characters and you didn't really grow fond of any of them too fast. But that's just my biased opinion of not having spent too much time with the game.

For the post above they ported over chrono trigger to the ps1, except it has anime cut scenes (that look amazing).

Oh that's right, thanks for the correction. It comes with the Final Fantasy IV reversion. The set is titled Final Fantasy Chronicles. I never got around to purchasing it yet, are the cut scenes really worth it?

The first game of the Crono series is: Crono Trigger. We all know this game...so no need to explain it.After that Radical Dreamers: Nusumenai Hōseki was released on the Satellaview. A translation can be found for the SNES. "It is a text-based adventure game in which the player takes the role of Serge, a young adventurer accompanied by Kid, a teen-aged thief, and Gil, a mysterious masked magician." Notice Kid and Serge? Yep this is supposedly the prequal to Crono Cross. Then comes Crono Cross.I have yet to play RD to completion...

The Chrono Series are great, among the few games which are actually good. Many characters of Chrono Cross actually had... well... character (although many of them were just built upon stereotypes and were pretty much one-dimensional). And the plots of the games were mostly interesting and captivating. It's too bad that the series didn't proceed after Chrono Cross. Maybe the developers couldn't think of a complicated twisty storyline that could live up to expectations.
