I can't sleep with any noise at all. Snores, TVs, in the car, they all keep me awake. I can't even sleep when my computer's on because I can "feel" the electricity, or whatever static charge is in the air/pressure that you get from electronics. I can't sleep when it's noisy, but once asleep, nothing can wake me up.

I don't think I would actually be able to sleep with the T.V. on. It would probably do the opposite and keep me awake all night.

Yes I can sleep with the tv on, but usualy only if I am dead tired. Other wise I just turn it off and get a deep sound sleep.

I hate having the t.v on when I'm trying to sleep.Although, sometimes it does help if the programme is boring/rubbish. <3

My TV doesn't even get any reception anyway, so that's not really a problem for me...fyi, I just use it for games.

I can't sleep with the t.v. on. I have to have some noise so I sleep with a fan going.

I used to sleep with my TV on but now with our current economic situation, I had to learn to sleep with it off to conserve electricity. It wasn't easy, but I did it, lol :black:

I always sleep with the tv on. Like you, it gives me that sense of security in that it does make it feel like if someone were thinking of breaking in, they might think twice since it would appear someone's awake. But also, I can't stand pure silence, be it day or night. (I have tinnitus - ringing in my ears even when there's no loud sound that's prompted it. It usually doesn't bother me unless there's no other sound to cancel it out.) Not to mention, I don't feel so lonely if the tv's on.

I used to have to rely on my TV being left on to fall asleep. Something about total silence just freaked me out. But now, I've accustomed myself to not relying on it at all, since I feel that it's a total waste of electricity and does not entirely value-add to my sleep experience.
