I can't sleep without the TV on. Though, it has to be muted or almost muted. A weird habit of mine is that I usually try to find a show I like to fall asleep to. o_O No idea why, seeing as I won't really be watching it, but yeah...

Nope. The noise keeps me awake and the show draws me into the plotline too much.

If you live in an apartment in a large city, sleeping through anything is a survival skill. I can easily sleep with the tv on (like if the room mate is watching it), but if no one else is around, I wouldn't leave it on while trying to sleep.

I can't stand to have the tv on when i try to sleep. The noise and light keeps me up. As for the people breaking in thing, some guy tried that once and found out that i keep a rifle in my room.

I can sleep without my TV on, I don't even use the TV anymore ;) , busy playing games, watching movies on my Xbox 360 with a 22" LCD 16:10 PC Monitor also not to mention the Internet. But I can't sleep without a fan on, whether it is summer or winter, in winter or colder seasons I would just face the fan on a wall or something. WHY?, because the other people sleeping next room snore like there is no tomorrow ;) I do not mind the low constant noise of the fan, but I can't sleep with people snoring out loud.

It doesn't bother me either way. Prefer having the i-pod going thru the speakers though.

I can't sleep WITH it on, never mind without it. However, I do find it easier to sleep when listening to my iPod.

I used to be able to, back when I shared a room. Hell, I could sleep through anything (I fell asleep during a school concert once back in 8th grade)Nowadays I can't do it, but once I'm asleep, barely anything wakes me up.
