No, I can't sleep with the TV on. Come to think of it, I can't even sleep with the radio on... or any lights. I need perfect darkness and silence when I sleep... except for crickets and rain and flowing water. Natural sounds don't bother me and I find them soothing.

I can't sleep with a tv on, since it's loud, annoying, and distracting. As for it keeping people out of my house while I'm asleep. So does the fact that when they try getting in I'll wake up. The baseball bat beside my bed isn't helping their odds either. Being a light sleeper is AWESOME.

Fun fact sorta: I read that there was some chemical the body produces when you're in complete darkness, and it helps you get to sleep incredibly fast. So having the TV on can greatly delay the body's natural process.

Oh really? I never knew that. :haha:Before I used to be able to sleep with the light on and the TV. Now I find it really hard for me to sleep whenever my mom or dad watches something. Especially if it's something interesting like a movie. From then on out I would stay awake with them until the movie finishes. *laughs*Yet there were times that I was able to sleep like before. Though...it normally takes me an hour to sleep even with the light off and everything is quiet...

People who sleep with any kind of regular noise in the background have always weirded me out. Darkness/silence is good enough for me to sleep...

I can sleep either the TV on or not.Somehow, when the TV on, if the program is great, I couldn't close my eyesbut sometimes, the sound of the TV made me fell asleep fast.

I can't sleep with a television on, unless I am so tired/passed out on the couch. But in that case I really don't care if I am willing to sleep on an uncomfortable coach. I've tried sleeping to TV on sleep mode, but I just watch it until it goes off then sleep. Only background noise I like is my fan.

I hate to have the tv on when I'm sleeping. I mean the noise can be down and the door to another room shut, but if I see flickers of light then I cannot sleep. I'm not sure why, but I hate it, I have to have everything turned off...maybe the soft hum of a fan on but nothing else.

I used to because my brother needed a white noise to sleep but now I have so much trouble if there's too much sound or light around when I'm going to bed

I can't possibly sleep without the t.v. on. I can't sleep with all the quietness. Haha I need some noise because it would otherwise feel awkward.

Yes I can, any kind of noise just messes with your head, it;s probably after you;ve done it for a while that it becomes comfortable
