I don't even own a TV at the moment. When I did own one, I would often doze off while watching it. That led to awkward questions when people walked in to wake me up and saw what I had been watching.

I used to only be able to fall asleep with the TV on for the same reasons as you, Dante Akua Ervin, but now I can fall asleep either way. (my mom started getting angry that I left it on :))

I don't sleep with the TV on, but I often sleep listening to quiet music, or a sound machine.

No I find it relatively difficult to sleep while the tv is on although I could always sleep with the fan on except when I'm down sick it bothers me a bit.

I can sleep with the tv off or on, it depends how tired I am, and how loud the tv is. If the TV is on too loud, i cant sleep, its so annoying, especially when someone is sitting next to you watching tv.

It's rather easy to fall asleep without a TV on. I never grew up with a TV in my room, so when I eventually had one (for my N64 in late highschool, not connected to any cable/antenna/satellite), I just never had an issue. I like it quiet.
