i go with harvest moon as it is better than pokemon, reason is because pokemon is just running about and fighting trainer and stuff and after a while there will be nothing to do while harvest moon has more thing to do.

@Above Post: I find it funny how you said why Pokemon wasn't better then Harvest Moon, but did not say why Harvest moon was better.Personally, i like both Harvest moon and Pokemon but I am going to have to go with Pokemon.Pokemon actually has competitive play, and thats pretty much the only reason.

harvest moon. like some people have already said,i like the depth of the game. you build relationships and not everything is pre-determined; you have control over the plot,

Both are fun, it depends on the mood. I've been spending HOURS with both games.

*Ignores fact that her screen name is Pokemon-related XP*Yes, I'm probably biased, but I think I would take a Pokemon game over a Harvest Moon game if it all came down to it. I've been a Harvest Moon fan since the original on SNES, but it doesn't quite have the same diversity and depth that a Pokemon game can. You can play Pokemon casually, or you can play it competitively... and once you get deep into competitive game-play you tend to find yourself perfecting teams, trying out new strategies, trading with friends, and seeking out new opponents all the time. Rune Factory was a great new Harvest Moon game, and I can't wait to play Rune Factory 2, but I'd drop it in a second if I could have Pokemon Platinum instead.

Harvest Moon for me. I like being able to get married and have kids. Trying to raise enough money to get the Greenhouse ect. I love the series. I can't wait for the new one Welcome to the Wind Bizaar.

I'd say Pokemon as well due to the fact that it never stops, it leaves you with other thing to do after you complete the main story.

personally, i was pretty dissapointed with pokemon diamond and pearl, so i wouldnt sugest them. What on earth is a Staraptor!!??

pokemon because you get to go around alot of place's and in harvest moon you stay in one place. pluss pokemon would own the kid from harvest moon.

Depends on what you are in the mood for. I always like HM for a pickup-and-go game. Easy to just get on and play and just as easy to put down. Pokemon is better for small trips or when waiting around for something.

Pokemon definitely... Pokemon does get old too because every game you just always fight new gym leaders and whatnot.

I like Harvest Moon than Pokemon.Personally, I like them both (but I'm accually posting for my brother at the moment, so he'd probably choose Pokemon). Harvest Moon is addicting and an overall easy-going game. Pokemon is an entertaining RPG that takes time to beat.
