I prefer Harvest Moon for its innovation and originality. Honestly, Pokemon has such a massive buffet of games that playing each and everyone can wear on a person after a while. The same is true for harvest moon but to a lesser degree in my opinion

pokemon seduced a much larger population than harvest moon. in other words, more players play the game, for the basic reason that is has a point, unlike harvest moon where u spend ur time harvesting plants and useless stuff. the pokemon company was also establiahed long time before harvest moon ( nintendo). as you know, the first anime ever to have been created is pocket monsters, which derives from it pokemon.

I like Pokemon more, because it's a classic. And it's more action-y. Harvest Moon is absolutely adorable though, but it gets kind of boring after a while. I just play Harvest Moon when I want to waste time on a mindless, cute game. :)Oh, but one thing: I just really hate how Pokemon has like, a thousand different versions now. I like the original Pokemon, please. Just the 106 or however many it was.

well, i say that time-wise, pokemon beats harvest moon because it really doesn't take as much time to finish a couple of harvest moon's story goals as it does to finish pokemon's storyline

I like both; they're both relaxing games and I like how you can shape your farm/team however you want. And how there's still stuff to do after you complete the main portion of the game. So in a sense, they're both much the same. But if I had to pick...probably Harvest Moon. The interaction with villagers and the dating sim aspects of the game made it interesting, and battling in Pokemon got really old, really fast. But the puzzles in Pokemon are better...I dunno. D:

I prefer harvest moon. Its kind of addicting and worth replaying because its easy to finish. Plus, its also relaxing and cute..though it could get boring.but both are addicting and fun and popular.

Both....Like, at the same time....NO.As the same game.Because a dating-sim-type-game where you play as a Pokemon Breeder would be off the chain. But how would we work Pokemon battles into it...?Hm. I think it'd probably be based a lot on the Pokemon Contests, rather than the battles. The contests were what I spent 99% of my time doing in Pokemon, so I'd probably die from happiness if something like that ever came out.I should mention it next time I'm in Japan and just so happen to be sitting next to the CEO of Nintendo.

Personally, I like Pokemon(the latter versions) better, even though I like to play both.Harvest Moon allows you to build up your own character the way you want to at your own pace and with different paths to choose. However, needing to repeat a certain activity for several days just to move on to the next stage challenges one' mental patience. And... I'm not very patient myself.Pokemon ,on the other hand, has more action. Besides battling with pokemon, you also get to take part in competition or breed your own pokemon. And since it is a story-based game, you will ultimately end the same way despite what you do, so no worries of getting lost there. So whichever game you like will depend on whether you like to play at your own pace or like to play as the lead. I'll give Pokemon two thumbs-up, but I recommend Harvest Moon too for those who likes flexibility.

I love Pokemon, but after I took part in a tournament expo, I lost my respect for itafter the staff pitted the only two girls against each other (Me and my friend) in the first round, and after that we played against people over 25... Who were showing of their card collections like it was their lifes work to get all the .EX cards...We just left, it was too weird and there were boys who were trying to get us to trade with their hacked games.I've never played harvest moon but I'd play it over Pokemon now-a-days.
