I really like both of these series, but my choice is Harvest Moon. Pokemon is great if say you're battling you're friends with the mega-cool-uber-leveled-pokemon-you-spent-ages-working-on-so-you-can-show-off-just-how-better-you-are .>.>; Harvest Moon is great if you just wanna entertain yourself and raise a character/control what goes on in his life. XD Its kinda like sim life but with an rpgish thing going for it. :)

It's hard to compare those two games. But if I had to decide right now what I want to play... I would go for Harvest Moon :)

I prefer Harvest Moon; I've played 'Back to Nature', 'More Friends of Mineral Town', and 'DS Cute', they were all fun. 'Another Wonderful Life' kind of makes me dizzy though because it was so 3D and when games spin around it's crazy--I'll stick to 2D. I like harvest moon's graphics, seriously, look at the game covers!Does anyone know if playing 'Island of Happiness' is do-able on a computer? I heard you use the stylus a lot. Oh and does the game spin around or something?I've played Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Diamond, and Ruby Red--I think that's all of them? Not sure if I played more. It's really fun as well but after a while I get tired of battling and I really didn't get the contests and stuff. )=

I'm a fan of harvest moon, you raise a family, buy and raise farm animals that like you, plant and grow produce like vegetables and maybe even fruit on a widely spaced area; while Pokémon is a game where you start off with a little creature that already completely likes you and will battle other creatures for you, and you can capture more of them. Both are part of the RP genre anyway.

Personally, I would say I like Pokemon better. I have never really played Harvest Moon though, so I can't say for sure. I've seen my friends playing it many times, and it doesn't look like the kind of game I would enjoy, but if I was playing it myself I might feel differently.

Personally, I like them both (but I'm accually posting for my brother at the moment, so he'd probably choose Pokemon). Harvest Moon is addicting and an overall easy-going game. Pokemon is an entertaining RPG that takes time to beat.

i like pokemon because it has many things to do

I like both. They are different kinds of games at all. They have their own features. Pokemon is more RPG while Harvest moon is for leisure time

Both have the same thing going on for them. If you are playing Harvest Moon over and over you do the same thing and have fewer choices when it comes to what to do when you are trying to accomplish any specific goal. As where in Pokemon if you aren't on a mission or anything you can simply play around with the breeding and hunting for rare pokemon and its much more fun and time consuming. I used to like Harvest Moon but now I think I would choose Pokemon.

Hmm...Harvest moon and Pokemon are both great games and hold special places in my heart. In fact I've had a huge craving for a month now to play Harvest moon, or at least get rune factory. But i haven't been near a N64, GCN, or Wii in a long time. Pokemon is great because you have over 490+ pokemon to collect train and trade. With the ultimate goal of getting everyone and decking out your trainer's card by beating the elite 4, finishing battle frontier.. etc.The thing I hate about pokemon is it's always the same 3 starting pokemon (sure a new game has a different 3 but its always fire water grass) in fact the game has very little fire pokemon and a billion water (just to point out) I started playing platinum with 6 random pokemon from my daimond game, level one. so far it's been great, well when they obey me. but it adds a whole new level of difficulty. this game is great for reply ability, but you can get bored with always have the same starting party (oh boy geodude can be found at the beginning in all four series??? yay! <no). If I could shake the game and jumble where all the pokemon can be found and level variation, then this game would be the best of all time, new pokemon everytime you played a new game.Harvest moon, on the other hand. Is great in it's own way. some people say it's not enough RPG, well maybe, but then you should check out rune factory, i heard it has it's own rpg story and even more options ie. farm, blcksmith, alchemy, fight monsters....but the harvest moon series can be both exciting and frustrating, the game passes by much to quickly to do everything (or at least I haven't been able to get over the speed the clock moves) But the fact that there is so much to do (maybe more than pokemon) that makes it great you have to get certain things by certain dates done, you have to know when things are going on during a day specifically, you need to be friend the town, there are so many hidden secrets in the forest/mountain/mine. the fact that there weren't even stratagy/players guides made for the game )well the GCN and N64 versions) is outrageous, you have to rely on gamefaqs and player made ones if you want em. there might be more content in the games than anyone has ever covered! it is truly the work of genius. Harvest moon
