Pokemon! Because I have more fun than Harvest Moon. I like Harvest Moon too, but a few time later it was so boring... :/

I choose Pokemon because Harvest Moon starts to bore me later on.

As much as I love the Pokemon franchise, I have to pick Harvest Moon. As a solo-type of player, I dislike having to resort to trading to complete the Pokedex, and Harvest Moon just offers a lot more value gameplay-wise for RPG lovers

Not sure what you mean by Harvest Moon being a survival game OP. I liken it more to Sim Farming.
Anyway, it's Harvest Moon all the way for me. I like being able to build relationships with the other villagers and then create my own family with kids and a hubby. And since I'm money-minded making a profit on my farm is nice too.

i prefer the combination of both games
rune factory is a harvest moon game with a pokemon like features (you can catch monsters, keep em and do train em) but if i had to choose between those two, i definitely prefer pokemon simply because i hate harvest moon's graphics and the new series of harvest moon isn't exciting enough for me.

I'd choose pokemon because it just took me too long to get used too harvest moon and I got confused at the beginning about what the game was about.

While I can appreciate the Harvest Moon games, in part because I grew up on a farm, I find it more monotonous than Pokemon. With Pokemon, there are a lot more things to do, places to go, new Pokemon to catch, moves to teach, evolutions to unlock...I can only get so much joy out of clearing my land from the latest windstorm.

I think that both are very well done. If you like roleplaying then pick Pokemon. If you like farming and such like that then pick Harvest Moon. Personality I like Pokemon better.

Harvest Moon, it requires more thinking and planning then stupid little gay poke mans hitting on each other.
There is a lot more to pokemon then just poke battles at this point. You can also spend time on Pokemon contests, building up secret bases, and spend hours on breeding pokemon with perfect IV values. The games offer a lot more depth then you'd expect from the surface if you are into competitive battling.
That being said, I would put forth Pokemon as my preferred game of the two opions. I've just never found the Harvest Moon games to be as compelling or as enjoyable.

Harvest moon has more playtime.
Well, that depends on how much time you want to put into Pokemon and how much you think you can get out of it. I managed to put in over 256 hours in Pokemon Yellow and actually stopped the clock at 255 hours and 59 minutes. So, I'm unable to keep track of how much more time I'm putting into it. I basically burned the hours away trying to keep all my Pokemon around the same level so I have a lot of options that I can bring to the field. Though, that may have been a laregely pointless exercise since certain Pokemon are clearly better then others.
It also depends on if you are into competitive battling as well. Since, you can burn away a lot of hours in competitive matches against other trainers especially if you create teams with set level limits and what not.

Personally both games are equally enjoyable since they are from 2 separate genres but I personally enjoy Harvest moon a bit more because it help calms a person more than pokemon who I tend to get aggravated more easily.

I like both games, but I like pokemon more. Especially after XY came out, I LOVE the changes they made to the game.
