I use female characters as well. Sometimes, as others have said, the stats ARE better you know. Oh and I have noticed that in a lot of MMO's female characters are cheaper to have. For example in FLYFF players sell feamle special items that is to say like set item for a lot cheaper than males. I have seen a male armor for a set got for 40mil and then right around the corner a female one of the same set for like 20mil. It's a big difference.

If think about it in really isnt that weird. Most guys wonder what its like to view life from a female perspective. It gets homosexual however when a guy gets a rush when he receives special attention from other males. Thats purely on a psychological basis not game advantage.

I also like the faster characters and think the females are better, so I play as them quite often.

People often talk about this subject, but never give a clear opinion. Here is where to clear your thoughts on it. I for one, really don't care if guys play as female characters. To be honest, I do it quite often. here are a few reasons. In most games, like Fighters or RPG's, the female characters are so much better than the male characters it's crazy. My style of gaming tends to go towards teh faster, more nimble characters. Most female characters are just that, while I dislike the slow, bulky style of most of the male characters. And to be honest, if you were playing an MMO, and are a guy, would you rather look at the back of some burly bulky dude for the next million hours of your life, or a chick? Be honest, most MMO players waste hours upon hours playing this game. Why not at least use a character that's easy on the eyes?

I agree completely... I love playing as both genders, but I prefer female characters... Even my RP characters are 63% female, 35% Male, and 2% in betweens...Take WoW, I prefer female Blood Elf Pallys over the other races pallys... Its just a preference, and If people have something against it, then ignore me :3

It's not wrong for girls to play as guys, why would it be weird for guys to play as girls? I do that sometimes. :/

I would never play as a female character. 1st. It would not correctly represent my character.2nd. It gives the wrong message to my peers and friends.3rd. I'm a hardcore gamer who takes too much pride in his work.I guess it would depend on the types of games you like. I am more for the addrenaline-filled war games and tactical combat types.

It doesn't really matter to me. No one makes a fuss about playing different races, like goblins... Like a few have said, in some games each gender has different things they can do, and different advantages and so forth. I'd play a guy on Lost in Blue 2 if it meant I could hunt easier.

Its all down to aesthetics, really. the girls tend to look better than the guy versions, even in the same class, so ill play as a gir.

I play as whatever gender I feel like playing as. Just usually, it's male, so as to avoid confusion over the internet. I don't much like awkward situations.

I don't really mind whether they play as girls are not. Some of them do it just to be funny, like my dad.

I play WoW a lot and about half of the characters I have made are males and the other half females. Females tend to look a lot better than their male counterparts and I enjoy looking at them throughout the time I play. Having to look at a chubby human isn't as great as a decent looking chick running around. Course if someone asked, I would tell em up front that I'm a male. MMORPG=Many Men Often Role Play as Girls

Here are my personal thoughts on this:I'm a male and I don't mind playing as female characters (I'm actually playing an MMORPG where all the hero characters are female actually). In other non-RPG games, it doesn't matter either (I've played as Chun-Li and Street Fighter II and even Peach in Mario Kart 64 before). However, I do prefer to stick with characters my own gendre in roleplaying games and here is why. I will often give the main character my own name to help me impersonate that character throughout the game (from an imaginative perspective). It'll be kind of awkward doing so with a female and in games that require "choices", I don't think I could accurately choose what I would if I were actually that character (ok, that might be confusing but that's the best I can explain it).

I always here "oh i just rather look at a girls butt for (x)hrs", but i feel that I'd want my character to more emulate me and my manlyhood and in fighting games the girls are not nessisarly the most nimble I honestly would take Ryu Hayabusa from DOA over Kasumi any day so I guess for guys to play as girls just seems silly to me.

I sometimes choose the girl character in some games, just FTLulz, and FTHawtness. In some other games, (like Smash Bros.), I pick the female characters for their playstyle (seriously), namely Peach for her insane recovery, Samus for the projectile sex, and ZSS for the agility.

Haha, yeah.Sometimes, other players in that MMO would specially train you just because they would think you're a girl. It's a really easy way to level.

I use female characters quite a bit, and I agree with much of what you said kratos. If it's stat wise, I tend to favor the agile characteristics that the female characters tend to have. I guess I get bored with the whole "man is up in front - hack and slash" tactic. On MMO games, my main character is always a male character. But when I create alts just to mess around while I'm bored and nothing to do on the main character, I'll tend to create a female for the same reason you've said. Easier on the eyes. Just hate it when I got people stalking my girl and not saying anything.
