Geez I've done MANY stupid things throughout time, but the dumbest was properbly when I overloaded the computer.... I just touched that litlle red button that regulates how much power the computer gets and *POOF*

One of the most dumbest things I ever did was leaving a game onthe computer, while eating dinner.When I came back I was barely alive.

Accidentally save a game with one Neverwinter Nights character over one with another character who I'd previously spent 45 minutes gaining two levels for.

I went very far on a game without saving then I wanted to press space + F4 = special move but I pressed Alt + F4 so I had to do it all again. Well for real, I sold the CD because I was tired of it...

In Zork Nemesis (old pc action/exploring game), late in the game where you are in some kind of boat area or something, I activated the tiny bomb looking thing, and you have to set it in the nearby cannister/deposit contrain to nullify the bomb effect, well i ran away from the cannister and held on to it, and that was a huge mistake (luckily i saved my game before that part) and within 3 minutes it blew up (turned the screen white and made a loud KABOOOM) and my character died of course. Good thing i was able to go back to my previous save file, i did that on purpose just to see what the funny result would be.

Not saving before *every* choice in Fate/Stay Night - Unlimited Blade Works route, it took me ages to get out of the Dead End on day 12 because I missed some important choices up to 4/5 days earlier or so... Although I enjoy seeing Shirou kicking the bucket that much was a bit frustrating ~~ (Curse the Fate route for being so predictably easy!)And related, not correctly mapping the choices I already made in Tsukihime's Kagetsu Touya also was quite stupid, since there are so darn many possibilities leading upto so darn many new paths that I am now totally clueless what I did before and how I should get further eventually - seeing it's been a while since I last played it and my memory is appalling...

Not using a healing potion in Nethack because I thought I could kill the monster before he could kill me.I was at 3 HP out of 36 and had THREE healing potions. I still have no idea why I thought it was a good idea to take another swing...

cheating to much when playing CnC renegade.. Light Tank+Rapid fire = A flying, Rocket powered tank. i flew right across the map. not as much fun as it sounds when you dont clip on the walls.

I did quite a lot stupid things in games but these ones I still remember:Playing a notorious thief in The Edler Scrolls Morrowind. After thiving my way through Ald'Ruhn I figured it to be a good idea to pay the city of Vivec a visit. When I found the library I thought I could get some books for my own hideout. I should have noticed the Ordinator Guard behind a shelf though. He whacked me up pretty good. Result: all the nice stuff I worked so hard for to aquire from Ald'Ruhns houses was taken away as evidence and my Char spend a nice time in jail 
Coming back to Morrowind after some time and was not used to the mouse setting yet. What happens if one plans to store a readied weapon before speaking to a shop keeper? Exactly: pressed wrong button, had fun with the guards and had to pay a hefty fine.Or accidently in Star Wars Galaxies sold a good 3x35 stated skirt to the junk dealer. 6 million credits just down the drain, I could have punched myself

Not sure if this counts, but I've seen the AI do some pretty stupid stuff.Best war story ever: Call of Duty 2, that one British level where you're taking a German town in the middle of the rain. Attacking the church; I peek in and pop back, having seen four Germans. Four Germans yell, having seen me. Four Germans throw grenades out the doorway, having seen me. Four Germans charge out, having thrown their grenades. :/ Synchronized backflips.I dubbed it the German Defense, because damn, that kind of brilliance just needs a name.

I spent 5 hours using the paint brush trick in Oblivion to reach the top of "Fighting Chance" only to find the secret chest WASN"T THERE. sad face

Dumbest thing I've done i a PC game would be in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, where I used "spungefy" at the staircases to get to the top, only to jump down while spinning on the spot like a ballerina.
