I believe that it shouldn't be free, but a 10, or maybe 20 dollar discount would be great. Fact is, XBL is the best online service that's been around in gaming since around, like, ever. It has no competition. The Wii's online service is a joke, and a bad one, too. The only good thing about wii online is the shops...While I don't know that much about PS3 online, I've heard it's no goodie either. What do we have left? Xbox. See? Xbox is dominating in online, even if it costs 60$ a year. But still, it's not like it's 60 a month, it's a whole year! The whole 365 days. Seems like not such a bad deal to me.

i'd rather pay for a service that is all connected with every other game. when i was still rockin' the ps2, i hated that each game required separate login in usernames and passwords. having an all encompassing system is well worth the small fee per month or per year. also, there's usually a great bundle deal that you can buy to get 13 months along with a peripheral. i did it last time with the xbox vision and this time i'm going to get the text pad and project gotham 4 for almost the same price as the 12 month subscription by itself.

no, xbox live should not be free, i know it sounds stupid but i'm not a person who likes wasting money. i like paying for it because one, it's not that expensive at all, two i'd rather pay them so that have a reason to make updates and new features, if they did it for free imagine how long it would take to fix any problems that would come up.

IF they made lLIVE free they probably wouldnt update it as much and it would turn out worse so it might end up like playstation network..no one cares about it...so bottom line no it is fine as is

No, xbox live should not be free. Microsoft works very hard in order for us to have quality online play that outclasses the PS3's online. We should pay for what we use.

it should... yet maybe not... think of ps3.. free internet but its a lil crappy. Xbox 360, you have to pay yet live works almost perfectly.
