Well, LIKE I'VE TOLD YOU BEFORE, it's probably cause no one would be satisfied with the voice actor of Link talking. I know I probably wouldn't. It's for the best I suppose.

I am a huge Zelda fan too. I don't know...it would be interesting if they gave him a voice, but I think that the fact he never says anything is just part of his charcter. Im sure they originally would have loved to give him a voice, but since they couldnt fans grew accustomed to that and they kept him that way.

Interesting, yes, but... Link is known for being a Silent Protagonist. D: Giving him a voice would just be...wrong. Aside from his usual yells and grunts.

No!!!The way I've seen Link since i was a little kid was the yelling, grunting, non-speaking link.it was the link i fell in love with...and it should stay that way.

Yeah, it would be kinda hard to actually have him speaking in a game...they could have the characters act like he was sorta though, idk :/

I wouldn't mind if he could speak in a LOZ game. Although, I'd rather hear his voice in Jap before making a decision. A majority of english voice overs suck.

I watched the show before I even played any of the games, so it wouldn't bother me all that much.I love how he shouts "HYAAA!!" though. <3

That makes perfect sense, like I can image some people doing that right now if he had a talking voice in Twilight.

Uh-uh. Link is exactly how a man should be. Do what the controller says, look pretty and keep his trap shut.

No way, Link doesn't need a voice. He's able to express him self well enough through the dialogs of the other characters, his grunts, and his body language. I voice would be way too much for me. More voice acting in the supporting roles wouldn't be so bad though.

I don't think he should talk. He's a classic "silent protagonist" first off and secondly there's always the danger of not finding a voice that fits. Lastly, I think a lot can be conveyed through a character even if they don't talk, sometimes more.

I think it would be funny if they advertise that he finally talks, but only in the ending. And then when you go through hours of playing and accumulating dozens of deaths, they pull a prank on you and give him Gilbert Gottfried's voice.I think he should be left alone the way he is, but something like I said would be funny. Imagine all the Zelda fanatics demanding an edited version of the game.

I think Link's silent approach has a lot to do with the developers wanting the player to feel for the characters and such within the game. 'Link' is somewhat of a portrayal of the player in the game world. Looking at it psychologically of course.. a lot of games take this approach, like Chrono Trigger for example. It's fun to sometimes think "What would I say to something like that?" and not have the game tell you, "This is what so-and-so, who you are controlling, said."

his character is just perfect the way it is. the producers tend to spoil the games by putting voices to voiceless characters.
