He should get more written dialogue, but no speaking. Mario speaking sounds weird enough.

No he should stay the way he is. It makes the character more interesting and it lets you imagine him how you want him to be

I could imagine him with the voice of Cloud from Advent Children. The pitch from the screams is comparable to the voice. Other than that I wouldn't even attempt to give him a VA.

Him not talking adds to his mystique, but that's just my opinion...

Link should stay silent. The reason link never talks is because it is a huge ammount of data to put into the game, putting full dialog in would cut the game down to shorter than a Hamtaro game. Zelda has always been based around story rather than graphics and voices, that is why it has done so well in recent years

Link was supposed to be a "link" between the player and the character so they won't give him a voice. Link's voice is your voice is what they were shooting for :P. Though, giving him an actual voice would be an interesting occurance, even if it's one phrase at the end of the game or something.

Interesting, yes, but... Link is known for being a Silent Protagonist. D: Giving him a voice would just be...wrong. Aside from his usual yells and grunts.

Yup! I have to say I agree with you. It would be kind of odd with Link actually speaking. Plus, it's kind of funny how he doesn't speak anyway. It makes him more flexible, too--one minute something funny can happen to him, the next it could be serious, like in Twilight Princess.

He isn't silent. We just don't know what he says. But I think "Link" isn't a character in the game. He is the player. Everything he know is the things which we know in the game... So....why do we need to hear what he says? It saved lots of time :P

I think no because his never talked and the voice would never be what we want. If he did Nintendo would give him a child voice half the time and a adults the other half because of the time changes link does so its better if he never talks

hey!! i'm huge zelda fan and i often wonder why they don't make link talk!! i would love it if he could talk. i mean with that sexy face he has to have a sexy voice.lol. anyways do u think he should talk or stay the way he is; quiet and let everybody else do the talking? but either way i'll still love him.what do u think?

Wouldn't that mess up his strong and silent image?

i think it would be cool to see link talk, though its not really needed in the game, but would be cool to hear a voice

hmmm... tough question really. if he talked then that would mean less reading and perhaps get a quicker pace in the conversations between link and other people. which would be a good thing in my book, because I think that the zelda games tend to have a bit too much tutorials and talking in the beginning of the games. but then again, like mention several times, the voice would probably be weird for most of us, because we all have an idea in our heads what link sounds like ^.^

Honestly, Zelda games are made in a way that you feel that YOU are the hero. Making Link talk would take away a lot of that feeling. So, he should only grunt and yell, as always, in my opinion.

If somehow, magically he could talk for a short time in a LOZ game then yes. Otherwise I like him quiet. More action less talkin'!!

I agree. It would be interesting. but It would wreck our knowledge of the series. I mean, every game he hasn't talked; why start now? Also and noone would be satisfied with whoever did the voice acting. It'd be like those sequels to movies with another actor instead of the original. in most cases, it wrecks the experience
