Meh.First of all, every Zelda game has a different Link (except, of course, OoT and MM, and WW and PH). So finding the right voice for all the future games would be annoying, stupid, awkward, and I wouldn't like it. Plus, there's the fact that Link is known to be silent. Making him talk would be horrible. I can't believe a Link "fan" would want him to speak. If you're a fan, then you're supposed to like him as he is, not criticize him and ask for more, especially something as contradictory as this.

I prefer Link as how he is currently, sorry. His character not talkin' much gives him a nice sense of coolness, XD. Like Auron from Final Fantasy, =P. Reminds me of him a bit now I think about it....

I grew up with the mute version of Link, and I love him just the way he is. Ehh, that didn't sound right...

link is the silent hero, he doesn't talk because, well, he's awesome eanough that he doesn't have to. everyone gets him anyway. if they gave him a voice, then they force a personality onto the character that not everyone can relate to.

I think that it would be brilliant if he talked im sick of all his silence, the characters all seem to know whats happening and he doesnt have to speak. And if they do get him to speak ever, they are going to have to find a person that would do it good you would need a person with a nice soft voice cause a rough one would ruin it.

I don't think so, a lot of people would probrably be dissapointed. Also,if people begins to connect Link to that voice, what would Nintendo do when the actor didn't wan't to anymore?

Link has become an icon as a silent character. If they were to put in a voice, it would remove that feeling of character, like you really are playing as him.

It all depends on what they do. Link shouldn't say all that much. More like inner thoughts during dialogue, sorta like the messages saying the door is locked and stuff. Those scenes where you would have navi or midna say something can be replaced with some thinking, but not to the extent of an rpg,

Pointing out the fact the minish cap destroys both concepts?

Yes, because it works great in Oblivion and ALOT of other games.

Personally i think he shouldn't have a voice, leave it to your imagination.Plus imagine how difficult it would be for them to now put a voice to him, many people would be disappointed because its not how they imagine him to be.

I honestly think that Link should remain the silent hero. I have always loved that he has never spoken but that his ideas always seem to make their way to the other person nontheless. I would like for all of the other characters to talk, but not Link.

i think not. cuz if nintendo gave link a voice they would either do it right and every one would be happy or do it wrong and they would get some much crap

he's been through so many years of games on various consoles and handhelds, why change something that is already good to some thing that probably wont be good? best let bygones be bygones and let him stay the way he is ^^

No. Link should never talk, unless by some miracle they pick the #1 PERFECT voice for him. No idea what it would be, but unless they pick the BEST POSSIBLE VOICE EVER for him, he shouldn't talk. It'd just be wierd anyway.

keep him silent. a simple phrase like "come on" in windwaker is okay since it's cute and adds to the feel of the game and the gameplay. but giving him a voice would just ruin the connection between link and the player. it's a lot more dramatic when you feel like you're link.

it really bugs me that nintendo doesnt give voices to their main characters, samus is mute, link is mute. what the hell? really, how are they supposed to communicate their ideas and feelings if they cant talk?for the next game whatever story it is, i bet it will have a stronger feeling if link talk.he talks in the mangas, why wouldnt he talk in the games?

he should stay quiet, because it gives him a certain air to him. it allows the player of the game to imagine themselves as the hero link

Link shouldn't talk. He's an epic hero without the voice.

I think we all have a stigma about hearing Link talk, we all know him as a silent hero. The fact that he's silent implies that he has no choice when it comes to doing what's right and what needs to be done. I think that giving Link a voice would be giving him a personality and if that personality doesn't add up to what we expect of him it will never be good enough.

absolutely not. I've seen entirely too much faces of evil footage to ever think that would be a good idea haha. But maybe that's just me.
