Is anyone else getting sick and tired from the flood of shooters that seems to be almost all the 360 has now?

Thats a tough question because not all shooters are the same. I think that as long as shooters contain new and interesting innovations, I won't really get tired. So for stuff like COD4 which just felt like COD2 in new threads, I say "Go away". For original shooters like Dark Sector I welcome them.

I sooooooooooooooooooooo agree with you!!!! That's my whole dilemma with the new generation of consoles! I feel like all the PS3 and the Xbox 360 have and are coming with are shooter and sports games!!!! Also the Wii kinda!!!! I need a RPGs, but no system has really been releasing any notable RPGs recently, which is a huge letdown! Actually, I feel like the Xbox 360 is starting to hop onto the RPG wagon. They've come out with some good RPGs lately like Eternal Sonata , and I feel like the Xbox 360 will be the new system for RPGs! Which sucks cuz I'm not getting one!

Ah put a in it, the 360's got a wide array of titles from all kinds of genres yeah most of them are shooters but there are still lots of great RPG's and a few RTS's(although i rather play an rts on the computer).

Well, in the 8-bit and 16-bit eras, sidecrolling platform games dominated the consoles. Nowadays, its shooters. Things have just changed.

just because the 360 has abunch of shooters doesn't mean it doesn't have other games too. With games like Fable, Ninja Gaiden, and Too Human coming out this is a great year for Xbox owners

Simple Solution = Buy Another Console. I have only Played DOA4 and Smackdown Vs Raw on Xbox 306 so far, no shooters yet :P.

I certainly am. They should make a MMORPG over Live. :( Now there's a new idea! Genius...

A MMORPG over live would be pretty cool (exept for the suscription fees). ANyway, yeah I agree that most of the big name games are shooters but at least they don't all suck. Plus there are games like Lost Odessy and Assassins Creed that have come out recently that I have really enjoyed.

I'm not that bothered about it, the shooters all vary to an extent and all play well, especially online.

I'm a fan of shooters, but it's nice to see some diversity every now and then. That's why I'm looking forward to Sonic Unleashed as well as Killzone 2. Mix it up a little.

Why? Why do you care if there are a bunch of shooters on a console? If you don't like them, don't buy them.

It doesn't seem to be hindering the system from what i can tell, althought I have noticed the large amount of shooters on 360 compared to others.

Actually no. I bought a 360 for shooters and so far i am happy with what i get. Moreover, i would like to see more game following the third person shooter way started by Gears Of War.Hopefully GOW2 would be the new gold standard and will push for more games like it :P
