Anyone here think that you have to run from one end of the block to the other to use the bulky xbox controller, or that there is no comfortable way to hold a N64 controller. How about that atari stick? which is the best and worst controllers?

The N64 controllers were a smart idea, but i found that the analog sticks would always brake on them after a few months, so i would always end up paying more for controllers than games!

You... actually broke... the analog stick? Wow! I am Impressed!I was a huge fan of the N64 controller, it was almost perfect for fps (who could go past 1.2 solitaire in Goldeneyes?!) and not terrible for flying-shooting games. Hell it even worked well in third person, didn't it? I currently use an x-box-to-usb sort controller for playing N64 ROMS and am finding it is almost exactly the same as an N64 controller, just with a few minor changes in placement.Worst controllers? I have to say, I never really liked playstation one controllers, particularly pre-analogue sticks. Never quite felt comfortable, or responsive. The Wii remote is a difficult sort of thing to master.

Of the consoles I've played.. I've come to see the GCN controller as the worst.. For one, the control pad is almost useless because it's so small, and the odd shape of the buttons can make things awkward depending on how the actions are mapped to them. Best example I can think of atm: the Mega Man Anniversary Collection.I have some problems with the PS2 controller.. mostly the placement of the control stick. It's in sortof an awkward position, Otherwise it's good.I dunno what's up with all the hate for the N64 controller, though. To me, it seems like the best way to implement usage of both the control pad and control stick. The start button is a little hard to reach when your left hand is holding the left handle, though.

My favorite would be the regular Sega Saturn controller. Nice button layout, and the D-pad won't give you blisters if you're a fighting game beginner. ^_^;Worst... I don't know, maybe the Jaguar controller? Never actually used it, but it was huge.

The best controller for me has to be the sixaxis for the ps3. It is light and adds some really kool features to some games. The worst controller for me has to be the huge Xbox ones, nuff said.

I still like the PSX/PS2 controller the best. It fits my hand nicely. And of course the SNES controller...because it's nostalgic.

I hate the N64 controller, just because of the analog stick. It was so uncomfortable that I got blisters from it. But the best for me would be the XBox 360 controller.

It is hard to say good or bad controllers especially as the way games have changed. But at the time the controllers I was most impressed with were SNES (still the best but no analogue stick limits it), N64 (all round the best by far) and Wii (so original and it works!). The most disappointing were Xbox (no innovation with unexpectedly poor performance and it just feel wrong), PS (work fine but the original ones just felt like a poor copy of the SNES one and the analogue sticks that were latter added tended to be a bit below par) and GC (it just did not gel and was not innovative)

Best: SNES controller, had enough buttons, was a good size, and was solid and very reliable, you could use it for everything, I hope the new classic wii controller lives up to itClose second: dreamcast, just because I love playing SF3 on it and it fits into your hand so wellWorst: Original Xbox controller, massive and just plain garbageClose second: gamecube, the dpad is soo small its useless and a terrible layout, very unflattering for any game with combo's or multiple button use

Worst: It's a tie between the Planatary Orbit inducing orginal 360 controller(so huge they made smaller version of there own controller before they made a second gen console lol) and the N64 controller which was not only BIZZARRLY shaped but would last about 5 games of mario party or smash brothers then the anolog stick would become a limp drifting catastrophe!Best I would say all the deveations of the Playstation Anolog controller it's ergonomic the anologs will actually lose grip face way before the anolog stick actually wears out the dualshock for ps2 was the best vibrating controller of it's time!
