I got FFXII about a week ago and I've been playing it. All my characters except Fran and Baltheir are level 12. Baltheir is 9 and Fran is 11. I'm up to that Pheonix boss after "Kidnapping" Ashe. Any tips on beating it?

This is REALLY late, so I'm sorry if you're already past this point in the game, but I just used a bunch of motes and wore it down with magic. You'll want Balthier and Fran since they have ranged attacks, and I believe that the boss is classified as a flying enemy.I got FFXII about a week ago and I've been playing it. Hmm... I think you are referring to Garuda Egi, correct. In front of Raithwall's Tomb in the Nam Yensa. If you helped the Yensa Urutan on the way there, you get access to berries. These are extremely powerful against the Garuda and will significantly cut out a part of its health. Now, just attack using a gun from long range on your main character (the one you like best) and the other two should magically attack, use support magic and/or use bow (at least have someone healing full stop). Vossler should just do his own thing. This boss hates darkness, and you could have the magic 'Dark' at this point, so use that.If this is not it, Idk, but level up a lot more. If you do get to Nam Yensa, battle bagolys. They provide excellent selling drops, which also helps you rake money.I got FFXII about a week ago and I've been playing it.
