I like Magus the best. It was a big surprise to me the first time I realized you could have him join your party, and I enjoy playing as the darker characters.

Come on, we all know that back in the day, when we discovered the game's token badass wizard Magus could join the party, he instantly became everyone's favorite character. And to be honest, he's still mine. Unlike most of the crowd, I was never really that involved with Chrono Trigger, but it was fun while I played it. Another favorite character of mine isn't really any goodguy, but the major villain, Lavos. Here's an alien (presumably) being that never speaks to you, never mentions any sort of ambition whatsoever, and yet retains the center focus of the story as several minor villains seek to exploit his (its?) awesome power. IIRC, even in the end, you never really find out who or what he was, and the final battle bogs down to you having to stop him to save the future. He's a favorite because he's so "black sheep" of the more mainstream RPG pretty-boy badguys.

I'm tossing up between Frog and Robo. I like Robo coz he's a lostie and Frog because well a frog swinging a sword reminds me of kindergarten....mmmm.... im going with robo.

I think Chrono because I seriously overleveled him and turned him into a powerhouse.

Magus - Dark Matter. Simple as that for me haha. Sure, I felt somewhat bad about leaving Glenn as a Frog, but it was too hard to resist passing up on having Magus a part of the team.

What in my first playthrough I made Magus join my team and Glenn still changes back at the end of the game -__- I think it depends on if you took the time to do the little masamune sidequest crap It was a tough decision between Ayla, Crono, and Magus. I mean who doesnt like the anti-hero with a fckin scythe!!!! Ayla the powerful independent cave woman was awesome and I loved her triple tech with Crono and Frog I thin it was frog...I havent played in awhile lol. But of course I voted for Crono b/c not many silent characters come off as that badass He uses lightning and katanas!? wat more could u want dammit! Of course I was kind of pissed with wat happened in Magus' time in the fight with lavos it took me forever to realize how to get the "replacement" of course I lvled about 20 times because of that XDstop hating on Lucca! she wasnt boring and she had her good points T.T
