Any help on how to get past the start screen?Any help on how to get past the start screen?

Click on the upper-left with your mouse (on the lower screen of course), there's the new game button, but the game isn't running well on emulators (sprite issues and freezing)

I tried the open-close method, but somehow it still freezes. Am I opening-closing too fast? BTW I'm using a DS Lite, if that makes a difference. And yes, i do believe it works do to the couple frames being skipped...but maybe the Lite fixes that issue? And right now, I HAVE TO do the first chapter again in the new game+, since it's required for the "100% completion".Yeah, it sux.So do I just Open, then see if the screen appears, and reflexively close it? Or do I just open-close like a maniac?

I've tried the rom both Japanese and US and after the first part with the really big text I have no text. I'm running it on No$GBA 2.6. Teh rest of the rom looks to be working as far as I can tell. Would not having in-game text (ouside of cutscene) be a sprite problem? And yeah I agree with the waiting for newer version of No$GBA to get certain roms to work. THat was the case with FFTA2.

Hi everyone. This is my first post on this forum. You probably won't see me post alot because I don't really have access to the net, but for those who have an M3 Real and can't get past the infamous frog freeze and you are on firmware 3.4. I suggest downgrading to 2.51. It fixed the problem for me. Now I'm on day 3. It also helps with the freeze problems on Cooking Mama 2 and Megaman ZX Advent. Only drawback is that you have to convert your .sav files to .0 format. I think there's a program someone posted that can do that. So, yea, there ya go.

Hi, i seem to be having problems with the game. On day 3, whenever i enter a shop such as Lapin Angelique or Ramen Don my game would freeze and the only way to exit that is to turn off the DS. Anyone know a fix for this?

There's no graphical issues on iDeaS, but it still won't run perfectly. There are audio problems, and I'm not entirely sure it runs anyway. I'm still testing it to see if there's a solution.

Likewise - from the looks of it, it freezes at the same spot where flashcard owners report a freeze, and iDeaS isn't capable of pulling the open/shut method.

looks like we have to wait for a new no$gba version after all.

What flashcart are you using? What firmware are you using for it? Try updating and making sure you don't have codes that might end up killing the game during certain parts when entering or exiting buildings, common problem with homebrew codes.

M3 Real, R4: Update to latest firmware usually fixes it.

So it works perfectly?Without lags, glitches etc.?

Allegedly, yes, everything goes perfectly smoothly once you upgrade your firmware. Glitch-free and all.

Can anyone upload a save file of the game right after the running scene? At least it's playable now, and since we know what happens before the crash, it would solve a lot of our problems. It's a shame the sound is a bit messed up, since this game is supposed to have some of the best music ever on a handheld. Oh well, nothing's perfect, I'm just happy it playable.

gamefaqs and gbatemp have sav's for the game, at least 1 or 2 of them are after the freezing spot.

You have to rename the .sgs file (from the link above) to whatever your TWEWY .nds file is. For example, mine is called xms-weye.nds, so I renamed the save file to xms-weye.sgs.Then run iDeaS 1.0.2.4 (make sure you have it). Open up the nds file, then go to Save States > Load State and select the most recent one (should he 5/17/08).Voila, enjoy...sort of MAKE SURE YOUR VERSION IS THE EUROPEAN ONE!

Actually it doesn't.I've got it on my M3Real with the latest firmware (V3.7 X Version)and it still crashes in the cutscene.Edit: Using the US version and booting in Download Play

are you using a dump from a different site than this one, or from a torrent site? Might be a trimmed rom issue with the cutscene on your's since everyone else that has upgraded their firmware is over the issue. I got mine from nds-roms and it works perfectly. maybe you should try the ar code that allows you to fastforward through cutscenes and see if that helps.

I'm using a untrimmed "2252 - The World Ends with You (U)" which coincidentionally i got from nds-roms too.i managed to avoid the crash by opening and closing the DS, so i'm playing fine, however the problem is still there.
