I own HoMM 2, 3 and 4. None of the expansion packs though. My favourite is 3, but I really liked how they made the heroes controllable in 4. It made sense and one of the reasons I don't like 5 as much is that it went back to the old way of having them in the back row not doing much of anything.

Yes it's a great tactical game my friends used to always come over to my house and we would use laptops/lan and face each other all the time.

Darkraine, I envy you. Not because you play but because you have friends. Kidding.I have played every Heroes game at least once and owned four of them. Heroes 1 was the original and was great. Two introduced upgrades which were nice, but imperfect at that point. Three perfected the upgraded creature system and just made pure ownage of the system that it had done so much to help create in the turn based strategy. Four had Sandro the Necromancer who survived all the previous games. He was the man but was absent from Heroes 5 which is very good, but leans too much on campaigns. The individual maps are alright, but not that great. My favorite was Heroes 3 just because it was the straight up best and the expansions made it so epic. There were blue dragons! Can that be any cooler? Absolutely nay!

I loved the graphics in the fifth game but I liked the third game more because it was less taxing on my computer and much faster in terms of playing with multiple heroes at once.

The silent air will soon be filled with horrid screams. The vague night will soon be lit by the destruction we leave in our wake. The shivery ground will soon be covered with sweltering blood. We will bring about...EndlessChaoz.

HoMM3 is my favorite. I still remember I have created a lot of maps and scenarios and shared with my friends. For HoMM4, I like the idea of Heroes join in battle directly, but this setting let some players to started built up a team of heroes, with no army, :-)For HoMM5, I just purchased thier Gold Collection, still waiting for upgrading my PC before I can enjoy it.

One of my favorite PC games is Heroes of Might and Magic. I've been playing them since I was old enough to comprehend how to play them. My favorite one is probably HoMM4 Shadow of Death. Though that's probably mainly cuz I haven't had a good chance to play HoMM 5 yet.Does anyone else play Heroes of Might and Magic?

i used to play it on my gameboy, it was so fun!GPs were deducted from this post, please read the rules! - Bad Idea Bear

I have them all!I played 1 and 2 when I was like 6.Ever since the 3rd game came out me, my dad, and my brother have played it. I have Homm3 complete with WoG and all the campaign expansions. Most people didn't like 4, but I played it alot! I think people didn't like it partially because of it's diagonal view.5 is better than people give it credit for. goast mode is awesome! But still, 2 & 3 have to be my favorite!I see alot of people have an intrest in this game! What do you think about a tournament in HoMM3?It has online capabilities!

I do, I think I stopped enjoying the changes around 3 because it just got really weird and too bright, pretty, and fairy like after that, I prefer dungeons and demons, awwww yeah.

I've played Heroes of Might and Magic 4 with my friend before, but I didn't like it for some reason. He's crazy about it, I really can't comprehend that. The music is really bad, but that's arbitrary compared to the other shortcomings like the occasional combat glitches, an army cap of 3, an over-complicated magic system, the horrible graphics and little difference between the 6 factions other than the names and models of their units and buildings. For me, Heroes of Might and Magic isn't really an in-depth thinking strategy game for vets and people who've been playing strategy for a long time, but it's a good game to lure your friends who play midieval fighting games into the RPG and strategy genre.

Yeah I played all of them, and my favourite is the HoM&M 3. I think it was just right. I didn't like the changes in the fourth and the fifth, it's not that I don't like it, but I did find it kinda boring you know? I didn't find anything special in it. Altough some monsters look really nice.
