I like to read quite a bit. I recommend Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card and the Song of Ice and Fire series (which starts with A Game of Thrones) by George R. R. Martin to everybody.

ENGL classes take all the fun out of reading.

Do they ever! I thoroughly believe schools are responsible in large part for people not wanting to read anymore.

I love reading, always have. Unfortunately, I don't have as much spare time to do it now that I'm in college. :)Some of my favorites:"The Lord of the Rings" by J.R.R. Tolkein"Star Wars: Heir to the Empire" (and the 2 sequels to it) by Timothy Zahn"Jurassic Park" by Michael Crichton (actually, all of his books are really good.)"White Fang" and "Call of the Wild" by Jack London.

I just finished reading The Thief Lord. Good book; about these kids in Venice stealing for a living. It's by Cornelia Funks.Anyways, yeah, it problay is the school that made reading boring.. if they didn't force kids to read as much, they'd read more.

If your a fan of Robert Jordan, try Terry Goodkind's Sword Of Truth... a killer series I must say.I read a LOT... several novels a week... mostly after 10 PM because I sleep very little... have fun through the day and read the night away... good Shyte, and it keeps your wits sharp and your vocabulary vast.

I only read stuff I'm interested in such as cars and comic. I also read if I have to, when there is an assignment. Basically I don't read often.

After reading War and Peace, I've decided to take a VERY long break from reading...as in I don't think I'm ever going to enjoy reading again.

Some-what, I rarely find books to interest me.I admire people like my girlfriend who read constantly as if they were born with a book in their hands.

Not really. The only thing I've read that I didn't have to read was 2 issues of Shonen Jump.
