800 pts is around $10. That's a hefty sum of cash to pay for a name change. It's robbery IMO. I had a person on my friends list change his GT about 4 times. Someone had cash to throw away...

No, i think it is reasonable price to pay to change it. If it were free or less point then it going to be a headache to find out people change their GT all the time.thats my 2c

it should cost mp to change your name but it should be 160 not 800 because people want their money put to something they want, and changing their name really isn't worth 800mp.

I reckon it should be free for first change, then 200 points per change. Low cost and first one free if you mess up your gamertag

Blizzard has taught the world that retarded fans will pay money for what should be free services like a simple name-change. Though I do like it as a limiting factor to people changing names all the damn time I guess. I voted don't care since I'll never do it.

800GS is way too much to pay for a name change. It does not affect the servers that bad to where they need compensation. I firmly believe that it should be free.

that's just dumb. Why would you pay money to just change your gamer tag, it's not like it costs money to do that

Way to expensive. Trying out all my GT ideas by adding friends as the GT's i'd like, the amount of gt's that are taken but have obvioulsy not been used since the next gen came out. They all have zero GP and have no gamer picture. I think they should reset all gt's that have been idle for a set amount of time.

I believe it should be free its YOUR gamertag and it shouldn't cost a thing to change; you are already paying for xbox live(if you are not i understand) so they should make it free. But then again it is Microsoft, so I highly doubt they will ever make it free

I don't think its too expensive, because people would change their name every week and no one would know who's who on their friends list.If they don't have the feature, people will complain, and if they make it cheap, a lot of people will change their name... which is why its 10$

No, i think it is reasonable price to pay to change it. If it were free or less point then it going to be a headache to find out people change their GT all the time.thats my 2c

QFFT, yo.People need to read, I swear, all I saw was relatively the same thing posted 40+ times. The reason that M$ charges these absurd rates to change GT's is to discourage it. If it were anything less, people would abuse it so much. For example: chew someone out and it turns out they're better than you? Not a problem anymore! Just change the name.It would result in being an overall inconvenience and a general degradation of the community (as if it isn't bad enough with the 8 y/o's playing the FPS's and talking smack).Edit: I will support the idea that XBL needs the option of adding a "clan tag" feature, like in the CoD games. That would atleast cut down on some costs for clan GT's.

Ya i agree the price is a little too high, i do see through why they dont want you changing it plus then there would be a lot less names avaiable. One of my friends told that if you get a lot of complaints filed on your gamertag they make you change it, and then dont charge you.

Yeah I've heard that before too, but I wasn't sure of how true it was because I thought that they actually check things when you file a complaint. Iunno, if it's true, it'll be a nice loophole from a $10+ cost.
