Photoshop man, its way better (not expensive if u download it illegally :))

haha!! yeah..personally, i prefer photoshop..im using a portable version of cs4 right now.. and its doing wonders forme...its just so awesome, and it all boils down to how you utilize every bit ofthe app..but i do respect GIMP users.. their more accustomed to it...hey, its a free net community...hats off..=þ

GIMP is better for me for painting and that it's pen tool is easier to use, but I really like Photoshop's easier use for resizing canvases, creating glow effects, and of course the 3-d like emboss that is useful in making metal and the like.

GIMP. It was the only one I really was able to use well. My com could not handle Photoshop, too much RAM requirements for it to function well.

Well lately i've just seen Shai posting alot of topics. Anyone going to warn him or is that ok? Topic spamming with just a few titles is really lame. I mean why would you do that? Just for some ROMS? Or just for some cool stuff in the gp store?

I like Photoshop but you have to buy it and it lags more for me (Because my computer sucks)Gimp is a nice alternative. It's free and it runs smoother for me.This is just my opinion though. I'm pretty much saying I like both

Gimp is free, which is a plus, but I started out using Photoshop 7. I can't really get used to using Gimp though, I'm still more comfortable with using Photoshop :)

Photshop is the bomb diggity! I love the effect sof painter, but can never get them when im using it. Gimp just confuses me cause im used to the shortcuts of photoshops, so that was a hastle.

I've started out with GIMP, but converted to Photoshop after a few months. It was a drastic change seeing that even though both programs are similar, Photoshop is still more advanced.I've been using Adobe Photoshop (Elements and CS versions) for the past 4 years.

I have both on my computer at the moment. I prefer Photoshop over Gimp any day though. For me, it is much easier to use, and takes less time to do things than Gimp. Plus there is a lot more support online for Photoshop than for Gimp.

Photoshop. I feel its much much easier to use compared to GIMP but I also think that 3dMAX animation studio is easy too.

I use Gimp because it has less 'versions' or 'editions', therefore less confusing, and I am not talented enough to go out and dedicate $100 to Photoshop.

Very harsh, but I choose both. I dual-boot XP with Ubuntu, so I have to get used to both, lol. GIMP doesn't have as many features as Photoshop, plus I don't know where half of the commands are, like I'm used into Photoshop. Consider me as a GIMP newbie, lol.

GIMP to me produces better graphics from other works I have seen but complicated without detailed instructions. Photoshop simply to me seems easier but now I use GIMPShop (based on Photoshop but created by GIMP).
