that would be awesome if it turns out to be true. my friends with ps3 would have one less thing to brag about.

This will NEVER happen at least not any time soon. Sony owns the rights to Blu-Ray technology, 360 tried with HD, remember it was out for like 2 weeks. Anyway with as bad as PS3s are doing Sony will never give up anything that gives them an edge.
