Only restrictions we had was we had to pick a length of time (be it a half hour or an hour) to play at a time before giving it up and letting someone else play. My dad and all 4 of the kids played video games and since we only had one television we were always complaining that so-and-so wasn't sharing/was playing too long. But as far as type of game, no. If we wanted to play it, we would. Didn't seem to be anything in the games that our parents found objective.

Yeah if i got any bad marks they'd take my system and hide it. I always found out where it was though i just couldn't reach it.

I am father of two children. For their playing a game, I do not set a limit. There are a lot of learning from a game.

A couple of years ago my mother tried to restrict me but I ignored her so eventually she gave up :) I guess that's the best thing about being 18+ and playing the DS she hasn't got much to say about how long I play... she can complain but I don't have to obey.

My mom never really cared what i played, she always used to have a SNES and let me play it (but it had all the good games, kirby, donkey kong, mario, ect) and i guess it never really bothered her either when i grew up and started playin GTA haha

My parents tried to restrict my gameplay a little, but it never worked, they're never home, so they just gave up.

nope, they dont really care too much that i play sometimes over 10 hours in one dayLOL.my mum did care when i was younger told me about repetitive strain injury coz she noticed me consecutively hammering away at the A button  but the past few years im either addicted to games or the net.in the last 2 months ive been on games like crazy mario kart wii, brawl and diamond :D on for about 10 hours per day and my parents havnt noticed coz im always in my roombut my mums noiced my sister playing brawl and dbz on the wii in the living room whenever she canmy mum still hasnt done anything, all shes done is tell her about repetitive strain injury too, (years after me) :psy:
