Tekken 6 all the way!!! The continuation of what is going to happen with Devil Jin Kazama will be pure utter madness! SC4 looks good, but I wish Yoda was in it instead of Vader like in the 360 version. I hope later on they make a downloadable update to get the other character.

this raises a question. if Star Wars were to do their own fighter game a la Tekken or Soul Caliber but with pure Star Wars characters, wouldn't that be mayhem.?even using Vader vs Luke. Solo vs Chewbacca. Emperor as a boss. Yoda vs the Emperor.but Soul Caliber by giving us a taste of using Star Wars characters helps to quench the desire.

whoever says soul calibur 4 is crazy. tekken is one of the greatest games that ever existed. there are so many more tournaments for tekken than soul calibur

tournaments might not be a good indicator of a games quality, does that mean that SF3 is the GREATEST fighting game of all time because it still has a huge tournament scene worldwide, after how many years? (I do think its up there though)but yeah, I'd still side with Tekken 6 over SC 4, (just playing devils advocate) not enough innovation I think or depth in SC 4

As said above, not enough new elements in SC4, although the finisher techniques look interesting. Tekken 6 requires real skill to play and not only spam button and block, cos in SC4 if you block too much, your armor will eventually shatter and you receive more damage.

I'd have to go with Tekken 6. While Soul Calibur 2 is the best 3-D fighter ever, SC 3 & 4 were absolute garbage. And while Tekken hasn't changed much since Tag, it is still a pretty solid fighting system. Tekken aslo doesn't add completely retarded characters into the mix every time (Tira and Zalamalamal [what ever his name is] are a little too out of place to be taken seriously). And T6 looks better.

Soul Calibur, hands-down. You could ask me a thousand times and I'd say Soul Calibur. No, I don't love playing as Yoda (I own a PS3 so...yeah..toodle-oo-2u2), but Tekken 5 left me scarred. I'd literally clocked up the equivalent of a years worth of playing on the game, at both Very Hard and Ultra Hard, against my friend (who did the same), reached Tekken Lord (and Dark Lord on PSP), only to get more and more angry at the imbalances. Don't get me wrong, juggling people into oblivion and pulling off hair-trigger mix-ups was a great feeling, but being killed by my friend's little sister by BAEK from only two juggles made me wanna break his house in half, not to mention the incredibly f***ed up 'fun-times' I had watching King punch me twice and then chain-throw me. yeah, the single-player was also jacked.SC4 didn't add much to the broth, but it sure as hell made it smell better: Despite my favourite character getting hard-nerfed - Poor Mitsurugi :'( - Some of the input changes are welcomed, since they're alot mroe logical in SC4. Performing a QCF+A for an attack that did 10 damage made little sense to me, yeah I miss performing a three hit unblockable but meh, Guard Impacts are king. That's really my main point here: The Soul Calibur series balances things. If you had the godlike reflexes of Daigo Umehara and the anticipation skills of some kind of..well..Anticipator (the closest to that i can think of is a Sniper -_-), your enemies could never get more than about 2 hits in a single juggle. On the other hand, against an untrained opponent and with enough practice, you can round off nearly 6-10 hits for a fair amount of damage. SC4 offered gameplay where you can dominate, but the tables can turn easily. Tekken is more like a scale that, once tipped, one side simply proceeds to fall.Looooong post...Yeah, Tekken 6 made me weep (figuratively) on two occasions:1) the Brand New 'Ground Bounce' was introduced! 'In the middle of a juggle, smash your opponent into the ground for more juggles!' GG.2) I saw the above in action with a Jap playing Kazuya and after a single juggle combo K.O.ing his opponent. Even SC4's Critical Finishes can't do sh** THAT imba.

i like tekken better because its one of the first 3D fighting games i played, the other is virtua fighter. soul calibur is also great but i hate kilik. a beginner player's favorite since all you have to do is mash the square ant triangle and voila you would more or less be able to beat someone. i tink hes pretty cheap.
