i use the gamecube cuz i played doubledash so much before...and i didn't hav a wii charger at the time and batteries aren't cheap:P

I think the wheel is annoying and hard to use. The gamecube controller is alright but I dont use it. The wiimote and nunchuck is so easy to use and makes life easier and the classic controller is just a rip of version of the gamecube controller.Listen to this it is awesome:-video removed-

I prefer using the Wii Wheel, although I can use the Wiimote without the wheel itself just fine.I was never very good at using the controller, so it was nice to be able to be good at a Mario Kart game on a console. I was, however, really good at MKDS.

Wii-mote and nun-chuck I find shaking the Wii-mote to be simple and control stick, a-button, b-button, c-button to be real simple and easy to reach.

The whell is reaaally good.At the beggining is a little difficult, but, when you "learn" it's the best way to play.

I prefer the gamecube controller. The Wii Wheel is fun, but I can't do nearly as good with it as I do with the GC controller.

I find the wheel to be the most fun and the most difficult. Mario cart Wii is easiest when using the game cube controller.

wiimote and nunchuk for my opinion. GCN controllers are so.... eww...although I have never actually played Mario Kart on the Wii. I doubt I ever will. Racing cars are not my genre of preference.

Even though I'm not exceptionally good at it, the wheel is the definite winner here.All the other controllers are fine and dandy, but then why play mario kart WII at all?The whole point of a wii in the first place is to have fun with being involved in the game.And the whole point of mario kart WII is to enjoy the experience of really being the driver.
