i heard a rumor going around a while ago that there was supposed to be a new pokemon game coming out called pokemon topaz it was like an expansion for diamond and pearl with like 50 new pokes in it has anyone else heard this or is it just some guy creating rumors

I read somewhere that in this month's Coro Coro (?) magazine in Japan there would be info on the 3rd Pokemon game in this generation, but I don't believe the 50 new pokemon for a second. That being said nobody is quite sure what the name of it will be, only speculation.

Well it could be true because emerald was an extension for ruby and sapphire.Maybe topaz could be the extension for diamond and pearl.

I always thought for some reason, that the name of the new generation expansion would be named "Pokemon Gem", but I'm not sure, they always have expansions, so I'm pretty sure something similar to that will be chosen.

right now, pokemon used red,blue,yellow,green,crystal,silver,gold,ruby,emerald,sapphire,diamond, and pearl.now the jewels left that i can think of are:topaz,cobalt,amethyst,amber ... so the rumor could be trueps:i got the jewels from crystal beasts(YGO)

Yea i have only herd rumors. I doubt they will have a new pokemon game out soon. But then again that is just my opinion.

They never stop do they? Well if this is true, I hope it's a remake of Gold and Silver, not another sequel (it would be alright if it was an expansion of Diamond and Pearl though). After this, Nintendo needs to stop.

The next CoroCoro magazine issue should be out soon, so hopefully by then we'll have more information. But given that every generation has had a 3rd game (Yellow, Crystal, Emerald), it isn't out of the ordinary to expect a 3rd game for this generation.
