For the mice, yes. Some of them aren't very good. :D I have one, and only half the time does it know I'm moving it.

Crimson Rain
The Crimson liquid that flows from the wounds...
It's life-giving power wasted away in life...
What can it do besides provide power?
Nothing...that is the simple truth...
Blood flows freely from time to time, unchecked by others...
Those who inflict it, may they find peace...
For their tortured souls must have it before the leave.

Wireless Keyboards and mice are good when you don't forget to change batteries (and when you have enough batteries around you). Not funny when it's Sunday, you are chatting and then the keyboard wouldn't work. :)Happend to me a few years ago :/

I don't think that the range is a minus point, because non wireless mice and keyboard don't have a far range, too :)

Most definitely batteries, but yeah, you could always have rechargable batteries and do a battery rotation once in a while. But it really sucks when your playing a game... only to find out that there are NO MORE BATTERIES left...

I got a set for my B-Day and I'm loving it, I never lose connection and it's always responsive, I swap rechargeables every now and then.

I've tried out a wireless mouse, it can lag pretty badly, and it occasionally disconnected, it was a bugger getting to re-connect too. Optical corded mice are pretty good though.

they take a bit to recognize a movement, and sometimes never moves the screen mouse.

You need to recharge the batteries after using for a few hours unlike the wired mouse or keyboard

I don't know about the mice everyone's talking about, but I've had a Logitech VX Nano for a good while now and I've yet to receive any problems with it. If anything it was too sensitive for me at first, but nothing changing settings won't fix. Plus it powers down when it's not in use so it saves you battery and even has the option of turning it off with a button at the bottom of it in case you're traveling. Battery life is roughly 6 months or even more depending on the usage, and the software comes with a battery life indicator so it tells you how much life you have left until you replace the batteries. I seriously don't know the downside, but I guess it depends on what mouse you're talking about.

Yes, i think the mouse could be lost because it is not connected to the computer.

I suppose if you're paranoid, you could fear the "radiation" (waves) from the mouse/keyboard to the main unit....The same idea with Bluetooth headsets

Hmm...If you lose the batteries or chargers then that would be bad...I know, I have both wireless keyboard and mouse...And the mouse is annoying when playing games like shooting games because the mouse can be sensitive sometimes...

if you're being really anal, really hardcore gamers prefer to use mice with cords because signals get transferred faster.

Technically true yet still irrelevant if you are using a good wireless mouse. We are talking about a time difference so small that without a bench full of equipment to analyze it humans can't even perceive the difference. I bet you could take a good wireless mouse and attach a fake cord while hiding the receiver and the gaming snobs wouldn't be able to tell one bit of difference.Once upon a time wireless mice keyboards and gamepads did have perceivable signal lag but those times are long gone for all but the cheapest bargain bin hardware.

only thing i hate about cheaper wireless mouses is that they start to disfunction once battery reaches half of the total charge. With the latest technology in mouses and keyboards, wireless is just as good / better than with cord.
