It depends what game and how the maker took advantage of the unique control design, it was bad for most thoug in my opinion, but some were really good

The controller looked interesting when I first saw it, but I disliked it right away after I played with it. The one major flaw was that joystick; the placement was awkward, and it was flimsy. The top round part of the joystick just came right off after I tried desperately to move it. Thankfully, my friend was prepared and had 3 extra controllers in the closet.

What the? NO! It's because of the misplaced joystick, it's slightly uncomfortable and makes games difficult to play.

well, i think it's good when i had the superpad... but i don't like the classic controller with three handles... its analog stick easily breaks... i already have a collection of controllers with broken sticks - i had seven, i think...

the controls were great, but I prefer my un-official N64 control. its bigger and a slightly different shape... fits my hands better.

i find it alright. when i was younger i used to go to my cousins house to play it and oh man, i didnt know how to hold it, since i had small hands the controller used to slip of my hand and when i played for a long time my hand started to hurt.Back when it was released i wish they had released different size controllers.

I wish it was smaller. That's just my opinion though.

The N64 controller was...different. I never thought about a controller that you could hold in 3 different ways. After playing Super Mario 64 with it a little bit, I got pretty used to holding it the way it was supposed to be held. Only complaint I have is that not a lot of games (least the ones that I got...) utilized the controller pad. I might be wrong, but the only game that I had ever gotten that actually used it was Clayfighter 63 1/3. If anyone knows of any other N64 games that used the controller pad, let me know. I'm curious if anyone actually used this part of the controller.

It got the job done, and some games are next to impossible to play on an emulator unless you're using it. Turok is a prime example.

To me it was one of the best controllers so far. Only down side was the 3D stick did not last that well.

The 64 controller was great when it first came out but the analog stick just got on my nerves after a while.
