I wouldn't mind if it was on the ds except one problem might be that the DS dosen't have a multi-touch screen meaning you can touch both arrows at the same time. Who wants to play DDR with a control pad?

First image that came to mind when I saw this was playing DDR with your fingers. You'd have your dance pad on one screen along with your main game screen on another. If this was do-able, I'd definately get a DS just to play that.

No offense or anything, but DDR requires MOVEMENT. The whole point of DDR is to be active. just tapping arrows all day... wouldn't that be a little monotonous?

Yeah, DDR wouldn't be the same without dancing. But it would be somewhat cool, since sometimes I use the PS2 Buttons.

I'm going to have to disagree with your idea. Stepmania is pretty much my favorite game ever, and I can see playing DDR using the keyboard, but I can't see playing using the touch screen. We have a Guitar Hero clone on the iPhone/iPod Touch called "Tap Tap Revolution" and it really isn't any fun at all. Based on my prior experience with touch- based rhythm games (except Elite Beat Agents, which was just a very special case), I don't think a touch- based DDR game would work at all. How would you hold the game? You'd have to rotate it because the screen is definitely not long enough right side up, and if the game is supposed to span two screens, you wouldn't be able to touch the arrows since they will be on the top screen. You wouldn't want people to be forced to play reverse, since almost nobody plays reverse anyway.

I'm srry,but i don't think that's a good idea. I mean wat's the point? u can't step on ur Ds and if u use ur fingers,it's too easy so it's not point. Srry,but it's a pretty bad idea

I thought ds could only detect one point at a time. and the ds screen will get scratched pretty fast.

DDR on a handheld would be pointless... It's supposed to get you up and active while playing =/ Having a game like that would just be like playing FlashFlashRevolution on a handheld, which is kind of pointless, imo.

yeah, it would be cool to have ddr on the ds. it would be way cooler if there would also be a dance pad that comes with it. If ever nintendo will release a game like this, they might give it a different name, but the principles are the same.
