Ok, so we all hear about the Megaman X's and battle network and all that good stuff, but what im curious about, does anyone remember the Megaman Legends series? There was "The Misadventures of Tron Bonne." Where you played as Tron, a pirate trying to save her family from a loan shark at first but it turns into so much more as you uncover the true evil plot and do missions earning money through stealing, theiving, "digging", hijacking, all the while driving your robot the Gustaf, equipped with a cannon, bazooka, or gatling gun, and with 6 small servebots by your side while your out in the field, all of which can have different abilities that help both on or off of the battle field, (There were 40 servebots in total). Then it was continued in "Megaman Legends", Where you crash land on Kattalox Island and search for parts to fix your broken airship all the while digging deeper and deeper into the islands secrets reguarding it's ancient treasure, "the motherlode" and investigating the supposed disaster that would befall the island if it was ever unearthed. All the while protecting the island from Pirates, the same pirates from "The Misadventures of Tron Bonne" The eldest Brother Tiesel Bonne, the middle sister Tron Bonne, and the baby brother Bon Bonne, (who was really more like a giant robot.)And finally "Megaman Legends 2" the rarest of the series, which i unfortunitly have never played before but currently have one of the last copies of the game on order as soon as it's available. So basically, i hear about all these other Megaman games, but who remembers this small side step in the series? To me, I thought these three were the best to ever come from Capcom as far as the Megaman name was concerned. What do the rest of you think?

I played both games back in the day, and even though i rather the 2-D Megaman feel better, it was a nice experience. If I recall correctly, the story wasn't resolved in Megaman Legends 2 and since then Inafune Keiji ( the creator of Megaman) has been trying to make a third installment but seemshe still doesn't command enough power in Capcom for it. Since the future of the X series is uncertain and the only Megaman being released is handheld, who knows if there would be a continuation to the "Rockman DASH" plot.

Wow, I never knew they were considering a third in the series. I think if they eventually managed to release a third on the PS2 that would be awesome. Like I said I never managed to play Megaman Legends 2, but I have the game on order and just got confirmation that I'll have it in a few days which will be awesome. So out of the games what was your favorite aspect of it? Mine I'd have to say is exploring the ruins and sub-gates and massive choice of weapons and customization of them.

I have both but only played 1. I remember playing that game as a kid then something would pop out and scare the crap out of me :( Especially in like... the lighthouse I think it was where the enemies were invisable if you didnt destroy the satellites or something.

I know what your talking about, I loved getting scared by it when i was a little kid. And it wasnt a lighthouse, it was just a ruin in the middle of the lake, and the enemies on the ground were always invisible, those flying things were just reverbot suicide bombs that when you got close would follow and attack you when you got close.

I loved the Action RPG action of it. Being able to buy your weapons and interact with NPCs made it a different experience from the other Megamans, sad there were few of us.

I honestly think the tron bonne and the first legends were awesome, but 2 irritated the crap out of me. They took any adventure out of it and forced you to use the ship on a minimap to get everywhere instead of exploring like in the first one from town to town

Megaman Rules end of story. The N64 one sucked tho because it didn't make much sense without a walkthrough

Megaman Legends should be brought back on the PS3, man! I can only imagine how much better it would be with souped up graphics! I mean it was great before but it can improve in some other ways and rock the gaming world.
