I Agree, It would be great for the DS, but Rockstar may be like the people they are and not make it. GTA for the GBA was great, but I doubt rockstar would put time into making a full 3D games with touch features

Well, i think they could do one but it would be a 2d one like the firs games were.The problem would be that nowadays noone would buy a game whith an outdated concept/gameplay.

Since the PSP can emulate, you can play GTA on it. Terrible camera control thoughThat would be awesome but I think the DS is the wrong market for GTA. Now....GTA on a PSP I could def. see....

I don't think that the game would come to the ds. One big problem is that it isn't as powerfull as the psp. For example: take CoD4 for the ds, the aiming is terrible (if you think you can shoot someone an item blocks it) and the graphics aren't the best either. GTA games are immense, for the ds the game should be reduced to a way smaller game because of the limit of 128MB if you want to keep the graphics and voice-acting. So I don't think rockstar would even try it.

The DS is better for simple, fun games really. Something with such a huge scale like GTA would probably just make the system burn out. Plus Nintendo kind of has the reputation of being family friendly, and something that everyone can enjoy. They can't let that go to waste, because they are the only company that has a real grip on that demographic. Parents trust Nintendo to make good games for their younger kids, tweens, and younger teenagers. Something like GTA would be a big step in the opposite direction for them, even if it is just one game.

No it wouldn't be good on the DS. The DS wouldn't offer good enough graphics nor a wide range of controls. In the end you will probably ended up with a bird eye view or a screwed up 3D view.

You kidding? The GBA GTA was already an incredible mess that every fan would rather go back to GTA 2 on their PC (playstation version is inferior and probably will always be compared to the PC version). Still, maybe they could actually make a better 2-D version this time on the DS. Otherwise, we might be looking at a crappy spin off game like that SCARFACE simulator on the PSP.

Maybe a GTA1-2 styled game, but it wouldn't be if they were attempting to do one similar to its recent incarnations.

A top down style like the first version would be acceptable, however a 3D version wouldn't be good, since the DS doesn't have enough power to generate a good amount of background objects for it to be fun.

The top down view would be the only feasible way for this game to work. I played the GBA version, and it just doesn't hold up to the standards set by the 3-D view of GTA3-GTA4. The Wii would be the best platform for Nintendo to get a GTA on.

You should do some research before making statements like that.GTA first started off on PS, which was ported to the PC. Also there is already a GTA game on GBA.With that in mind, GTA is NOT only a playstation game and is has already has gone onto nintendo.

I don't think so, but it would be if they could cram a whole living and breathing city in the DS like those in the PSP. It just wouldn't be GTA if it isn't big.
