I'm half and half on this one. The GBA one was bad but then again that one was top down. Some people are saying that this one is going to be top down too but I'm pretty sure that its gonna be first person but we'll just have to wait and see."GTA: Chinatown Wars" for the DS have just been announced at E3

I think it will be OK, a good time killer, it seems RockStar are actually putting effort into this one as apposed to the GBA counterpart. The cell-shaded graphics have me all excited. From the screenshots I've seen it looks rather terrific. The first details of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars have been revealed. One of the most notable announcements is that the game will not be played in the third-person perspective like the recent outings in the franchise, instead it will go back to the series roots and take a top down perspective. The game will be cel-shaded, a first for the series, and take place in Liberty City which will contain ‘different routes’ to the ones we know.Character Movement will be controlled via the touch screen while the R button will be used to lock-on to enemies and the D-pad will be used for aiming. The mobile phone seen in GTA IV will return in the form of a PDA. Players can use this to check their email, the map, play some tunes, check their positioning and get in contact with people. The PDA will track your game statistics which will be uploaded to Rockstar’s Website. Unfortunately no other details of the online multiplayer were released. The game has been designed for a handheld, in that it’s perfect to play on the go. Missions have been made shorter and if failed will not make the player go back to the beginning, you will be able to continue from where you left off. The wanted system has also had a make over as now you’ll be forced to disable as many police vehicles as possible. The game will be complimented with day/night and a variety of weather cycles.GTA: Chinatown Wars First Details SummaryTo summaries GTA: Chinatown Wars will include * Top Down Perspective * Cel-Shaded Graphics * Take place in Liberty City * Use the touch screen for character movement * A PDA tracking in-game stats * Shorter Missions made for a handheld
