The DS is going to die pretty quickly this year after the DSi comes out. For those of you haven't heard of the DSi there is a picture of it below. For those of you who think this is a hokes it isn't. This is the real thing because there is actually game play on it. If like to see the game play go on youtube.com It may not look any different from the original DS but trust me there is a lot of differences.

Ds will never die. It's a great video game with a great variability of games.. I can't see me leaving my DS.

the death of the DS has already started, in the form of the DSi, just like the gameboy advance series, it started to die with the unpopular gameboy micro

No i don't realy think it's ever going to end anytime soon. There going to replace the ds light with the new one with the stupid cameria but i don't think it's going to die anytime soon, it's just going to keep looking more and more diffrent until they think of a now format to put the game in

I imagine in 2-3 years they will announce the new nintendo handheld. So then after the new handheld is released it'll be another 1-2 years so I figure the DS will go on for another 5-6 years.

its gonna die the same way every nintendo system dies, portable or non portable : when nintendo makes a new portable system. They will make new games for it for a few more months.....then....it....will....DIE

I seriously doubt that the DS is going to die soon, even with the introduction of the DSi, since it is TECHNICALLY still a DS. Plus all the new functions on the DSi are kind of uninspired and I can hardly find a use for them. The PSP looks like it's about to die faster than the DS, since almost everything on the planet can do what it can do. Still love both my DS and PSP though.

I don't think the DS will die, but I'm not so sure it will really flourish. I think it made a pretty good impact when it came out and a lot of people bought then. And the fact that I still see it in a lot of stores with new games coming out doesn't point to death either.

Oh no. The DS isn't going to die! far from it ! It has everything: wi-fi connection a touch screen a quality sound ( think) and now different coulours...More they have been created a new DS who have mp3, photos, a DS shop...

I sure hope the DS won't die soon T_T;;; I'm a recent DS buyer [haha.. I'm late, I know, I know -w-;;]But yeah, of course, eventually it will, but as for now.. I think it's going pretty well :]

didn't the DS era die alredy? I say that cause i heard a commercial for 'nintendo DSI' it's supposed to be a big improvement to the original DS

I doubt the DS will ever die, take a look at their marketing strategies they have a good number of celebrities on board to begin with appearing in adverts and such =)

Personally, I don't think any game console, machine whatever will die because that's where the companies started at there only improving from there. So no, the DS won't die!
