I was thinking about how it will be popular or not if the pokemon game becomes 3D and you can actually control the pokemon.Instead of just commanding them, why not just move your pokemon? You know, just like pokemon mystery dungeun.And also make the story much more interesting, like the pokemon comes to real world and fight against armies and scientist who wants to investigate them.If there is a action pokemon game like this, will it be popular or not? And my main question is, can this come out in DS? Because the touch screen is much easier to control than xbox or other TV game systems.
Is it possible to have pokemon game like this in DS?

The thing about them coming to the real world and fighting armies is NOT what pokemon is about. hat would involve death. You can't get knocked out if you get shot, you'd be dead.

I'm sorry to add onto the pile of negative, but if that were ever to happen, it just wouldn't be Pokemon anymore. :/ It'd be a horrible addition to the series.

I had the same sort of idea when I was in grade 6! I use to think that it would be so cool to be able to control your pokemon but not where it's turn based like Mystery Dungeon, but where you are in an arena where you have full control over the pokemon. But if they were going to make it, I think it's too much to put it on the DS. If anything, it would probably be on the Wii. But if this happens, it won't be Pokemon. Nintendo won't do it.

I think if they took the graphics of Pokemon Ranger and made the next Pokemon RPG games look similar in style it could work quite well.

I think it would be cool if they made a pokemon game like sword craft story was on the GBA side scrooling action might be good for pokemon game but the SRPG version will still be superior

YES! YES! YES! I've been thinking about a game like pokemon like that before and it's the perfect idea. If you think about it, ranger was completely different and was a sucess so i think this will be too!

Sure i mean why not.... well maybe not but would nintendo or game freak have the time to make it?It would be cool to have 3D pokemon...Not like pkmn dungeon but like erm the tall grass is actually tall =P and when u fight u dun go to some screenand the trainer disappears =PLike pkmn stadium but without the annoying voice HAHA

I think it might be a pretty good idea - if the story and graphics (as well as overall gameplay) worked well together. I'm not saying it'll be a BIG HIT or anything, but it might be nice to see the Pokemon franchise branch off into yet another direction like they had with the other hits/misses that had previously come out. At very least - the bigtime pokemon collectors will have yet another item on their MUST GET list. LOL

The only thing that can be done with that is dynamic fighting, which kinda kills the freshness of pokemon games. Good idea, but the point of the game is to pit as many pokemon into battle and pwn as many ppl as you can. Controlling pokemon themselves would make the game long and arduous.

This would actually make the pokemon series worse. There are many games out there, some like your idea. I just don't think it would fit pokemon.
