Guns or Swords - What kicks harder ass?

i think that guns are better because they can be used at a distance, but swords are cooler

swords every time.....loads of ways to kill with a sword but with a gun u just pull a trigger n kill (yay :) lol) .....although if you bring a sword to a gunfight u know ur gunna get pwned lmao

Have you seen the Mythbusters episode where they tested this? Swords won hands down. Though I agree with ^.

Definitely Swords haha. I prefer Samurai Swords aka Katanas since they look so cool and are usually thin and longer range, and they are sharp. Idk why but i prefer swords over guns, guns just take all the fun out of things, its like puff just killed you thats it, but swords its more like clinck, clinck, swoosh, clinck, got you haha, more fun!

Swords...Take's skill to wield and bravery to dance with. Gun? HA!! So what you aim the stupid thing and shoot....No big challenge. anyone can aim and shoot with very little practice, Sword takes YEARS to get even Novice with, But then again I'm Bias on it, I've been fencing and Two hand's Sword since I was 10 lol

Guns are the obvious choice, because of the superior killing ability and range.But a real hard ass uses a sword because it looks alot cooler and it brings skill into the picture.Swords as long as thats what everyone is using.

It really depends on the environment, if you ask me. Though swords are occasionally really sweet in a world that uses guns. *couTrigungh*

Ever see 'How to kill a Mockingbird' somewhere around the internet

There were pirates! And they had guns. No! They had swords. No! They had gun swords. No! They had laser gun swords which were on fire that shot swords... which were also on fire!

Swords would have a higher level of badassness, just because of the difficulty of using them, however with guns, it takes more than 'a days practice' to hit anything farther away than 10 meters, so they do require some practice.Just two last thoughts: England vs France while colonizing North America. During the battle of *some* field the French fired outside of range and had to reload before the battle truely began. During that time the English released their Scottish Highlanders. The highlanders along with some previous damage from cannonballs was able to make the French retreat, providing an opening towards Quebec City. (20 some guys in kilts and swords running towards three rows of men with guns and the rows of men decide to run away is hilarious if it wasn't tragic)And on the matter of 'bringing a sword to a gun fight' ya, that's kinda badass, but a little bit stupid.

Clearly guns are more dangerous and powerful. But if your good with a sword, and can do better than those with a gun, than thats so badass.

Guns.They do the job more efficiently. The wounds for both are pretty nasty.However, with such a weapon, you want to kill. No one's going to use a katana to cut up cucumber slices. Unless we're talking about samurai stuck in a sushi shop, but jeez, that's more of a bad DS game than real life.

I dream about having a sword one day. Even though I probably won't be some awesome master with it, I still want to hold one in my hands. Theres just a certain appeal that a sword has over a gun.

swords. so many different ways to kills, and be more brutal. wielding a sword takes skill, not to say shooting doesn't either, but training with a real sword can build muscle along with skill.

It all depends on range. If the battle starts any further than 4 or 5 paces apart, go for gun, any closer, go for sword.although i think Raiden from metal gear solid: rising may disagree...

I really like the ides of using swords. I don't know why, but I believe it would be a more "fair" way of battling a war for example, just pairing everyone of and let them have a go at each other. I find the concept of using swords more noble as I believe it makes it more "real" to kill someone with a sword instead of a gun... I don't really know what I'm trying to explain, so bear with me please^^

@amenekoi know what you mean, anyone can push a button to kill people remotely, not everyone has the stuff to actuall kill someone face to face.

the answer to that one is tough :/ swords are great for close combat, but guns are powerful. you can block a bullet with a sword, but only if the metal is strong enough :laugh2: hmmmmm..... may have to get back to you on that one.
