of course in the real world, guns are the more efficient choice. but swords certainly look cooler on movies or anime. and it takes real determination to kill with a sword or knife... a gun makes killing a whole lot easier. i guess i choose sword cuz of the imagery, but in real life situations, most folks would choose a gun to get the job done (myself included)

Swords only if you count any blade under this category. I say this because with a blade you could kill someone silently, and without anyone knowing right away. With a gun everyone can hear the gunfire, even with a silencer people can still hear it. If you can only have a traditional sword then I would have to go with a gun because a traditional sword is no match for a gun.

Guns. If you fight someone holding a sword with a gun as your weapon, you'll probably win.

If you're purely talking about which weapon is stronger or better then the answer would obviously be guns. Simply because it's range, impact (piercing effect) and accuracy is better and easyer to learn, thus easyer to handle. But if you'd ask what is spectacular to watch, then my opinion would be the sword, which is more than only aim, shoot and take cover.

Depends on the wielder and the person who creates the fight. For example, I know of no human being(on earth) who could wield a sword like Cloud's, or with his strength and skill. So irl, guns would kill the person wielding Cloud's sword. It would be the other way around if Mr. Kickass himself was wielding it and/or he was fighting in the gaming realm of Gaia. Though, it also depends on who the person wielding the sword/gun is fighting. Using Cloud again, he has a tough time fighting Sephiroth, but eventually ( as my personal kenning states) would kick his ass up and down Main St :) . As for an example of guns being better in a fight that are backed by a main character, the only one's I can think of are in Anime/ Manga series, but not games. No games that I know of that I personally like exemplify a character with equal skill and strength using a gun for battle. The reason I think this is that strength and skill are not normally combined with guns because guns are used mainly for support and at a distance, where are swords are at melee range.Note that I am saying MAIN character, not and sub-characters who fallow the lead. All in all:Cloud: Mr. KickassKenning: look it up :D Which kicks harder ass?: Maybe swords, but it depends on wielder, location, and opponentPost: Ended :D

Guns. In a second, you can pull a trigger, let out a bullet, and kill your foe. It was an evolution on the battlefield, many more died, less people captured, and battles became even harder. It doesn't matter how far or close the enemy is, it is powerful, it is quick, it is the tool of Death.

Totally depends if you have stealth on your side or not... If he can't see you.. He can't shoot you. But it doesn't work viceversa unless the guys throws the sword and somehow manages to dodge the bullet.

Technically you can kill more people with a gun, but I think swords are better because it requires you to be strong to use one, or have skills.

I like swords because guns are for noobies, if you really want to battle it out, using swords require more practice than just to pull a trigger of a gun, thus I like swords better.

Well, to me, sword fights are always better to see than Gun fights, because 1. They have more action to them besides "Shoot, run, duck, hide" 2. There's actually some kind of technique to swords. and 3. Any punk with a grudge can use a gun.

I think a sword in one hand and a gun in the other would kick more ass than just one of em. It's the badass-ness of a sword + gun put together lol!!

Swords definitely. Sure guns can kill you from long distances whereas swords require the user to be close, but you can't cut a person in half with guns. Also in the hands of a skilled user they could possibly be used deflect bullets :bish:

Hate to tell you, but you have to be quite skilled(?) with the sword to cut a person in half because of several factors. Also, no, an expert cannot deflect bullets, it is all about luck there because bullets are faster than you would think.

I would have to say swords all the way because think of how much harder it would be on the person with a sword to kill somebody rather than far away with a gun. That takes balls there.

i would say swords... how much effort and skill does it take to pull a trigger? i think they should take all the guns and bombs and tanks and S*** out of the world and give everyone a sword, then wars would be sweet lol

You can cut someone in half with a gun, well not so much cut as dismember. A high powered rifle or large caliber handgun can blow off limbs with ease, and don't forget weapons such as miniguns that can saw people, as well as vehicles in half. And good luck trying to deflect bullets with a sword, since even a bullet from a low powered gun travels over 1,000 feet per second. Also, even if you did somehow manage to do so, the bullet would likely shatter, likely sending little slivers of white hot metal in your face.

Yeah, no. That's stupid. How much effort and skill does it take to pull a trigger? Not much, but making sure you actually hit your target takes practice. I'm guessing you've never fired a gun before.
