The best option is sword and a gun but guns kicks ass harder because it has more power and its easier to shoot someone than slash someone

Guns are just more practical. Plus, there can be different kinds of guns. Sure, in video games you have dual wielding and double blades, but in reality, the only variation with swordplay is really with the length of the blade.Also, there's one huge advantage with guns that also adds to its badass value: You can conceal a gun while keeping it relatively lethal. Compare this to a sword, where reducing it to hiding size (A.K.A. a dagger) makes it much less effective against another sword user. With even the smallest guns, you can still draw and pull a stand off and kick hard ass, unlike a sissy dagger fight.Also, on top of that, guns are louder. And if you want to kick ass, you gotta be loud.
I perfected this technique while under a rock.

How bout a mixture - gunblade.But seriously, it will depend on the user of the weapons and the type of weapon. If its pistol vs sword i say sword, cuz the swordsman can dodge the first shots and instantly win the battle with a swoop and a swing. if its a machine/gattling gun vs a sword it would have to be the gun, cuz they will just mow u down, unless if the swordsman is awesum and blocks every bullets and dodges the rest while charging forwards. Overall swords are the best and they rule over gunsBut the gunblade rules over both!

I like swords. and the same goes with archery or anything the deals with the Midevil time to the Renaissance.

Guns are better...by a lot. Swords are cooler though. It depends on the person. I like swords better, but I think I'd look cooler with guns

I would agree with Squall's Gunblade. 
But, I would say swords are way more badass, but if I had to pick a weapon, I would for sure use a gun. I gotta go with efficiency over flavor. After all, "Those who live by the sword get shot by those who don't."

Tough choice but i have to go with swords. Sword vs sword fight looks epic. gun vs gun fight dont really have that much fire unless it a massive battle.
