Guns duh. What in the world will you do with a sword? Battles have long since progressed to using long-ranged weapons. You're kidding yourself if you think it's possible to survive in modern warfare with anything less.

I don't think the question was so much "What kicks the most practical ass?" as it was "What is more badass?" Obviously, swords are now inferior to guns, we didn't need you to tell us that, but really, what is cooler? There's so much room to be creative with swords where as with guns, it's just BLAM you're dead.Guns duh. What in the world will you do with a sword? you can't shoot a sword. and a sword won't stop a bullet, i don't care how many tv shows and movies you've seen it in.

Swords, because you have to have skill to use a sword... whereas a gun is too simple...

I say that swords are better. Even though a sword may lose in range against a gun. A sword can be a devastating weapon to use against someone. I mean come on, if you saw a guy aiming a gun at you, you'd be like "game over"(and probably wet yourself in the process). But if you had a guy or girl(whatever) charging at you with a razor-sharp sword ready to cut off your "private" areas, you'd be running so fast that you'd leave a dust copy of yourself where you were just standing. Say I'm lying, anyone can tell you.Not to hard to explaine, What do you think is better? Gun's? or Sword's?

Swords don't run out of ammo and they don't have to be reloaded. I don't know if I should go with a Katana or a Claymore though. On the one hand, you got the samurai sword, but on the other, you get three feet of steel. I heard all this stuff about how katanas have the best edge, so perhaps I should go with that.

Anyone can use a gun but it takes someone with guts to use a sword and if you know how to use it than you can tear thing apart.

sword are ultimately the best for causing pain and making them suffer, but if your lazy or just a plain coward guns are perfect

Like DA GiRL said to fight well with a sword is the sign of a true warrior, guns are cool but I like swords better. Put them together and your badass.

Sure swords are cool and hardcore, but it would be dumb to bring a sword to a gunfight, not that easy to block bullets...

I think that swords are cooler than guns, for use a gun you need to press almost a button. For a sword you need talent and wits for survive.

I've read so many comments "guns are easy to use swords need skill". Seems like never hold a gun in your life. It is pretty hard to aim and it's harder to shoot in defence not killing the other person. I think it's the other way round. Every stupid dumbass can use swords (if you ever hold a sword in your hand you knew that there isn't much you can do. Using crazy ass techniques like in Animes won't work guys.)I would prefer a gun. There are also Anime guys who show skill with a gun. Also it would look stupid walking in a town with a huge sword on your back
