Certain games like Shrek, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and even Dora The Explorer have been made into video games. However not many are as successful as the movie....

With the exception of the Harry Potter Games and possibly the |Chronicles of Narnia, I'd say that movie tie in games are rubbish. Stop making them! Stop Making them now!

Most of the movies that went to being a game were not very impressive... But vice versa is a very different story... changing a game into a movie might not be a bad idea... just look at FF Advent Children...

The Movies are ususally better, but now and again you get games that are as good as the movies,or more challenging games. So I think They Are Ok :gs:

Although when a videogame is made into a movie it is more often than not at least amusing and sometimes even a great movie (like Resident Evil), that does not mean it works both ways. I think the only game based on a movie that I liked was the Spider-Man series (excluding the first one). Every other one I've wanted to just burn.

It should be illegal unless you are going to make it good and longer than they are

I am totally against the movie to game thingy. especially then the movie has come from a book I have enjoyed (i.e Eragon)It justgoes from a darn near perfect book and gets made into an inacurate movie and then gets MADE INTO A CRAPPY GAME!!!!!Ok.......Chill :( My personal grievance is Eragon but the harry potter games have some merit, but I just play them to clock themand ditch. but for the most part movies (espescially movies from books!!! (chill)) are just poor quality. waste of time and money ($80 :( )

If they do it well it should. For example Lord of the rings: The two towers for PS2 is one of my favorite action games it is very fun. But other movies should not.

Honestly, most are terrible. In certain cases some game creators will make a video game out of anything, even something as mundane as brushing your teeth or visiting the doctor! (In defense of such games, I have played a pretty cute PC cooking sim... :) ) So naturally the link from movie-->game, or even worse book-->movie-->game will be traced and frequently followed up on, mostly with results ranging from lackluster to DEAR LORD WHY!? You know what would be cool? A Joker-based "sandbox" set in the Dark Knight universe! THAT? Would be legend(waitforit)DARY! Even, dare I say it? AWESOME! Not just another Batman platformer/fighting game that's been retrod a thousand times before. Oh, and on the note of ganking video games from sundry media, PLEASE no more games from cartoons, PLEASE! We do not NEED SpongeBob Collapse OR Game of Life, or Piglet or Dora the Explorer on GBA, we just DO NOT! MAKE! IT! STOP!

Some games made out of movies are cool but most of the times the games sucks, movies made out of games on the other hand are much better.

80% of the time, it will be Disney or Nickelodeon trying to do it. 99% of the time it will be poo. 100% of the time, kids will still buy it.

well hmm lets take some examples 3 should suffice1) crouching tiger hidden dragon-as a movie it was pretty damn cool as a video game i wanted to piss on it and shove it down the throat of the person who recommended it to me in that order :shiftyninja:2) spiderman- it was a great movie wanted to watch it over and over and as a video game i felt the same way. it was actually fun and kind of challenging3) the incredible hulk- movie was trash! game was just a little bit better but got boring real quickOnly 1/3 were actually good that obviously makes a point. But ya the reverse games=movies is great idea like FF:advent children and resident evil :gay2:

Most movie games suck with the exception of Spiderman and a few other Stan Lee originals. Personally I don't even bother playing movie games anymore.

Most movies have bad game varriations, they put effort into the movie so now they won't put any into the game. If you've seen the movie it might ruin the storyline for the game too.
