I think its going to be real.
As announced by the official Japanese Pokémon Web site and TV Tokyo's TV program information on Friday, Pokémon Sunday is set to make a "world-exclusive first announcement" in its Pokémon Game Arena segment on May 10.The most recent episode previewed the annnouncement, showing two balls, one gold and one silver, which will be opened to unveil the announcement's subject. Based on this as well as the fact that the game is said to have been the center of much speculation, many fans believe that the announcement will pertain to two titles: the Pokémon Gold and Silver remakes. It is also theorized that Junichi Masuda will appear on the show to make the announcement, since he did so both last month and the month prior in regard to other game-related scoops.The next issue of CoroCoro, which will be released May 15, is likely to contain the announcement as well.

damn ! thats just too good to be true! but will you be able to use the GTS and trade with other nintendo ds pokemon games? since u arent able to find all the pokemons u can in diamond or pearl...

It is not even confirmed, we just have to wait until May 10. So if its not the pokemon gold/silver remakes, don't come after me. I think it will most likely be able to transfer 4th gen pokemon.damn ! thats just too good to be true! but will you be able to use the GTS and trade with other nintendo ds pokemon games? since u arent able to find all the pokemons u can in diamond or pearl...

If what you quoted turns out to be true, I'd be so happy to revisit my favoritePokemon titles in the series o.OFor now though, I guess I just have to wait until May 10th and keep myfingers crossed.I think its going to be real.

I think that a remake is possible, but those screen shots that were posted are most likely fake. I strongly support a remake for these games, since it is considerably effortless to remake while still pleasing fans. Having a remake will allow more trading options using the DS; something I will definitely look forward to.

bad news...Nintendo has confirmed a 2009 release for Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, DS remakes of the principal Generation II Pokémon games, Gold and Silver, which were originally released for the Game Boy Color in 1999 in Japan. Speculated by fans to be in development since the release of Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, the remakes will take gamers back to the Johto region, found west of Kanto — this time as Generation IV games.The games will most likely be able to link to Diamond, Pearl and Platinum as shown by game data.
PS: Mods put this on the front post so future idiots won't spam whether its real or fake.HeartGold and SoulSilver will be released in Japan this fall, possibly on or near Nov. 21, the 10th anniversary of the original release of their namesakes. International releases will likely come in mid-2010.

Yes, I agree.The game is most likely going to be released in 2010 for English. I'm glad its coming out soon in Japan, I am going to get it.I never really played Generation 2 Pokemon games, so I am going to try the new ones once they come out.

I'm pretty excited about this. Generation 2 was my favourite out of the whole series.I just hope with these remakes they won't stuff up my fond childhood memories D:I'll probably get HeartGold as I had Gold version back in the day... before the battery inside it died... yeah.

In game video This sure does bring back memories. G&S were my favorite pokemon series. Which reminds me of my rofl battle, my lvl 24 gligar beat a lvl 50+ golem.
